They finally came

This week we decided to upgrade our package with our cable/internet company. We have been with Multiband since I have moved into this apartment. I am happy with my services and I am happy with Customer Service. I am also happy with the people who come and take care of me at home. They are respectful and helpful, they actually wipe their feet before coming in which helps keep my house nice and clean.

On Wednesday they had a open house, eventually they will be getting raid of their annolog cable here, they are dealers of Direct TV which we are now using. There cable also came through the satellite but wasn’t digital what I was getting but it was still good. Yes we had the typical problem of bad weather usually meant no signal, but that to be expected. Sometimes we had bad weather but yet still got the signal. At their open house they served us Pizza and pop this was nice of them, they actually had pizza there my hubby and I could eat. Normally when we go to our Apartment building open house I can’t eat anything because they only have things with pork or beef. Well this time they had pizza and a couple different types, they had a cheese so it worked out well. We talked to the gentleman and found out that we could save a little money by upgrading and hey a dollar saved is a dollar earned. They had Friday afternoon from 12 to 4 pm. Typical of companies.

Here’s what I would like to know, for the most we can’t say oh I will be there between 12-4 or 8-12 at our jobs. If we did that we would be in trouble or wouldn’t have the job for long. I ended up being called on a interview. One of my Temp company found something they thought I would be good at, and talked to me, I told them go ahead submit my resume. I should be fairly free, I didn’t realize this company would have jump on my resume like a hot potato, and want to interview me today at 1pm. So yesterday I called Customer Service right away and explained to them. Hey I am unemployeed which is why my hubby been paying the bill lately, and I just got called for a interview at 1pm. I asked can you please reschedule, the soonest reschedule was a good week out, so I asked is it possible to have the tech call me before he comes. This way if I am home, he can come if not I can reschedule. The customer service person was very accommodating and said that she would just place on my notes to have me be toward the end. That great. Well on Friday if I am going to meet my husband I have to leave the house at 440 to catch a bus why, have both of our cars at church if I can get away with driving the buss. Right now I don’t have the gas to go.

Well it got to be 345, and I started wondering where are they did they come before I got home, and never called or lift a message. I called customer service, and asked them if someone had already been here. She called dispatch, thank goodness no one wasted there time coming out here. The problem was the guy assigned to me ended up having some issues at another site and was running behind so he sent someone else who was clear north of me and a bit north of me. A good 45 minute drive with almost no traffic, I didn’t know where he came from until he told me. Customer service told me that the other guy had troubles and was sending out someone else. She told me he was in en route and would be here shortly. Okay shortly to me is 20 minutes.

About 45 minutes went by and still no installer okay not worrying but it’s now after 4pm so I am figuring out very quickly I will not get to go to church because they still not here. He got here 10 minutes before my bus was to leave. I have to say Otis  (cat) really like him, he was very interested in the guys jacket, it was funny the cat tried claiming into his coat. He seemed to like cats, and was very personable which is good in a installer, never want one that grumpy or not easy to deal with.

He got me pretty much all set up and found out, I wasn’t given a customer id number for Direct TV, and had to call them to set me up with an account that took a little while. He was here close to a hour, we talked for a little while and I shared with him my story of Comcast. Trust me you don’t want me to go there!  My husband is lucky that my building has Multiband because if they left only Comcast here we wouldn’t have TV or internet. I guess I wasn’t the first person to tell him a horror story about another company, because he had said that I was the worst he heard so far which I can understand that.

After everything was done he showed me how to use the remote, and how to get programs to record. How to get to the guide. Well I have well over 150 channels counting local tv stations and I still can’t find anything on tv isn’t that sad. Now I will have to relearn all the channels which I already have them memorized on the cable. because all my channels are different other then the local channels.

Multiband has always done a good job. When I call on from anything to there are some channels not coming in that aught to be, Or Hubby and I just been laid off and we will be late on our bill. They have always worked with us and been very respectful. I guess this is a good thing working with a smaller company. Yeah I don’t like the fact that no one called me to let me know they was running late, but that okay. Yeah it drives me nuts how companies like the cable company can tell you we’ll be there between a four hour stretch it gets bothersome, because then your stuck waiting at home until they finally get there. I am glad that even though it was past 4pm which is there last appointment that they didn’t decide to reschedule and make me have to wait another week or so.  I am happy with Multiband and I will recommend anyone to use them if they are in the area.
