Review: Branson MO. Vacations

Need a vacation but think it simply just too expensive to go? Now days with the gas, prices being at least 3.60 a gallon, and cost of living increasing, taking vacations are often harder to do then what they were just a few years ago. Branson MO is right in the Heart of the United States, in a beautiful area of the country. Well Branson has some great packages, which are nice for couples, and families, and there not overly expensive.
They have seven different packages, the lowest costing one is $425.00 3days and 2 nights, this is for a couple. Wow that pretty cheap, compared to what I have seen for vacations and get away over the last couple of years. This package is their Platinum Package, this doesn’t just cover the stay at their hotel but some other great perks, like a gift card of $30 to either Red Lobster or Olive Garden, 2 adult tickets to Grand Country Jubilee, coupon book with over a thousand dollars worth of savings, and a $50.00 Tanger Outlet Shopping Certificate. Wow this package pretty much gives you 80$ backs so if you look at it, you get one meal free, which pretty much means your trip is just under 400.
The shopping centers are not on site, so there would be a small amount of gas expense but it might be worth it, if you need to get a pair of Levi’s or something like that.
Their most expensive package is their family package, it is $925.00 but this also comes with some great deal for families with children between 4 and 11 years old. The perks on this package are tickets to the Darren Romeo show, Ride the Ducks, and Hanner Barber Variety show.
Don’t feel like only staying at the resorts there are many things to do around there like going to White Water a 12 acre water park area has activities from the kiddy pool to playing Volleyball against other competitors. This sounds like it could be a lot of fun at Branson they have actives that will make everyone happy including the person who would rather just stay inside.

Good shows being canceled

My husband just sent me a e-mail. I am not to happy with it. There are two programs hubby and I enjoy. One of them Moonlight and the other Jericho both canceled. I am disappointed that Moonlight is canceled.
Moonlight is about a detective Vampire, I think Mick needed to grow more into his role as a Vampire.
What made Moonlight interesting were some of Mick’s friends who were also vampire and Mick’s Xwife coming back to life, after he had thought her dead. He thought he killed her in the beginning of the store, when she tried kidnapping Beth who in love with Mick.
I don’t know I just enjoyed this program because it was more family friendly and entertaining then a lot of things on TV. I think maybe they need the makers of Buffy or Angel to help them a little with keeping some things more consistent, but it still a good show.
Jericho is about a few towns who are lift over after a nuclear war. This was sometimes harder to watch but it was more exciting them some of the other line up on TV. Sometimes it just seemed a little to close to reality so maybe that why they wanted to get read of this show.
I really hope that they rethink canceling Moonlight maybe they try moving it to another night.
I wouldn’t how many HDMI cables they need to keep things running smoothly.

My Boy Jack

My Boy Jack, is a British movie. I will have to say it’s not as good as Harry Potter and my husband and I had to joke about he would have better chances with Ron and Hermines from Harry Potter. I will probably always see Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter. He is a good actor, so I don’t mind watching a movie with him in it. Over all taking away the Harry Potter movie I thought this movie was good.
The movie was about WW1 and the British struggles against Germany. They where seriously outnumber and lets face it Germany had better weapons and more prepared men. In the actual war many young men where lost almost a whole generation. This movie was so refreshing compared to USA war movies which has no country pride at all. I am sorry, this movie showed how the men and woman in Britain where proud to serve their country and how their country people supported their men in war. It was a sad movie.
Jack was made Caption right away almost he never expected of his men what he would not do. During this time mostly men served in the military. He lift his family to serve in France, but he wouldn’t be coming back. Jack was late in the movie announced missing assumed injured. In war the last thing you want is a telegram or a military personell to come to your font door because it usaully not good news.
Jack lead his trouble to fight the Germans but he didn’t make it back home. The last guy that the family spoke with was with Jack, and told his family what happened. On one hand I felt he was a coward for doing nothing to help his comrade but on the other hand I could understand why he done nothing to help him. Jack died a day after his 18th birthday. This movie was one of the saddest stores I have watch. I am glad it not like most war films because this focused on Jack at home, and his relationship with his family and friend. When he was out in the fields it showed his caring compassion for his troops.
I would recommend this movie for just about everyone, I would say children under 13 maybe not a good movie depending on the child. This would be a nice movie to watch in home theater furniture.
Personally I think we have something to learn from Britain in this movie. I love my country and those who serve in it. I think we could learn how to be proud of those who are serving overseas, and for those who have already served. Had they not served we would not have freedom, we would be under some other country with more inhuman conditions. I am not saying our Government prefect, but they made a decision and we aught to support them and who serve in our arm forces. I am thankful for what they have done.

Yom, Yom

Yom, yom, is a Hebrew movie all in Hebrew. Yom, means Day in Hebrew. It is about a man who has hypertension and his family. His mom was Jewish and his dad was Arab. This movie was described as a struggled for the son, but honestly I am not sure they did a good job of showing that struggle at all.
I think the movie got a little to wrapped up in sex, and one of the girls almost every time she was on screen she was in some form of lingerie. Now I have know problem with a couple of these scenes if they add something to the movie, but I am not sure it did other then there was adultery going on.
The movie hit our 3 strike rule 2 times, I was a little disappointed in the movie. It was not as good as Kadosh which is from the same director. Moshe, was married to a woman but yet felt the need to get his entertainment outside of marriage, he did not want to listen to his wife. I am pretty sure it was Moshe and not his brother.
It was very hard to follow this movie, I think my Hebrew teacher will be proud of my husband picking a movie where I got to learn bad language. They decided it was wise to put one text on light colored background. I really wish they would learn not to do that when they are doing something for English speaking people. Maybe if I ever do a screen play I will remember not to do that. It is said that learning a new language you, learn bad words first, I was hoping not to learn any in Hebrew, but to late now. I will have to remember to be very careful of what I say in class just so I don’t make a fool out of myself.
Would I recommend this movie, No I wouldn’t I just didn’t find it family friendly enough. I do not have children but still I don’t want to be looking at men and woman getting it on. This film to me might as well have been soft Porn. I believe a good USA TV rating would be NC17.
I do have to say this movie does show some things that are good like how it okay, to love our Brother and Sister be them Jew or Muslim. I am glad it showed some of his parents relationship and that his father shared about their relationship to his son. This was really the only winning quality I found in this film. Now this being said I do not feel it’s right for Israel to give up their land to their neighbors, and nor do I feel it right they have to deal with being bomb several times a week. But I won’t get into that on this blog, I will let my husband bring that up on his political blog, I have no interest in getting my opinion out there.
