The Cure

This was a sad movie. It was about a boy who had aides, and the kid who lived next to him. Eric the healthy kid eventually befriends this the kid next door. This is a good movie for family, but I would say it a tear jerker. Eric is picked on a lot by the kids at his school and is pretty much a loner but no wonder with his mother. Both mothers where single parents.
Eric decides he going to find a cure for aides for his friend and they try to get down to New Orleans or somewhere down there. After trying many different things, one of which was poisonous and almost killed his friend. You’d think the mother wouldn’t want Eric around her child because it just be to dangerous to keep him safe, but the two became close like brothers.
Toward the end of the movie both of the mothers have a conversation, and it seems Eric mom changed some. I think this movie got one strike with our 3 strike rule but I am not sure if it was or not my Hubby said he heard it but I heard something else.
This movie shows true friendship and also touches on the misconceptions of what aides is and how it is caught. It wasn’t very clear how he got aides, it was made in 1995 when things where still not really understood about it.
There was a couple of funny senses and a couple that made me think of the boy who cried wolf to many times and then got ate up. In the end this was not really shown to be the case but there was still a lesson in the movie that could be learned. I wouldn’t recommend this for a child who is under 11 years old or one who is not mature enough to understand about life and death.
It not like watching a show on Lasik, it’s more of a real life, this can actually happen.

One, Great, One good and one a bad example

Yesterday my husband and I needed to kill a couple hours before our friends birthday party. We decided we would go to Best Buy in Roseville Mn. I honestly will have to say I was surprised at the 2 out of 3 people we talked to did good, and one person did horrible as far as customer service goes. We also a couple of times felt invisible. I understand and realize there are many other customer in the store and my husband and I aren’t the only ones in there. I don’t have a problem with sales associates helping other people but I have a problem when you look like your needed help not being asked anything or communicated with.
My husband and I where looking at some of the TV, in August we are going to be getting some money from Property taxes which is nice. We are now starting to look seriously at some flat screens which we are interested in. I have no problem waiting for help, I have no problem with a associated who doesn’t know every single question your have, as long as they are willing to go and find the correct answer. The first associate we talked to was really rude to my husband and I. I didn’t like it and to be honest had we had the money at that time I would have told my husband we aren’t getting this here today. The associate pretty much called my husband and I a lier okay I am not saying we had our information right, but I am pretty sure it was right or we where giving the wrong information at a Best Buy. The associate was very rude to us and eventually walked away from us show little or no interest in helping us. We continued looking on our own to see if we could find the TV we saw a few weeks back. Another associate came by and asked if we needed anything. My husband said I think I will pass I already been called a lair by one of your people. This associate didn’t even care about what happened or how my husband and I felt insulted. He didn’t even try to make it better. I told my husband let’s go over to the music store because I want to see what they have.
I have a home recording studio one that now don’t work with my new Operating System so time for me to start looking at something new. My husband was showing me what he used to take care of Rabbi sermon and said it might be a good program for me. I was looking at it and asking my husband questions which clearly he had little clue what I was going for. One of the associates came up and try helping us and was doing fairly good, the other associate in there heard us talking and he graduated from music school and knew exactly what I was talking about with my problems I was experiencing with my old software. He came over and started helping out his associate, and ended up taking over answering my questions I am glad he did. He was knowledgeable in both the computers and the software and was able to lead me the direction I needed for getting my tracks down with out getting stressed because it simply isn’t working the way they said it aught to. Now I know I need to get a piece of equipment which connects to my computer and basically takes over the sound card job. It looks like it needs it’s own electric source. I forgot to ask about that, maybe next time I go in I will have to ask about that so I don’t kill the computer. He recommended some software and told me it was not easy to use but it was the best. He had to spend a lot of time with it but it was worth it in the end. Now if I get this program and don’t understand it, guess who I am goin got go to Best Buy music man and see if he can explain it. He was very good at what he did, and now I know what I need to save up for and hopefully soon I will get a job that will allow me to save up.
Now on to the third person. Wow, and I was beginning to think we turned invisible there. My husband is wanting to get some memory for his Insigna Sports. He wasn’t sure what to do. The third associate also did a very good job and kept my husband from having further headaches.
Now I will say if they where on a cat tree the first guy we dealt with probably would have been on the very bottom, the 3rd would have been on the middle and the 2nd would have been the king of the cat tree. Grant it we talked to more people then just the 3 associates so if we added it all together it would have been 3 out of 6 good which is kind of sad, I really think some of their associates need some more training maybe by the 3 that did a great job with my husband and I could help them.

Our expereince at Fuddrucker in Roseville MN

Last night my husband and I went to a birthday party. They decided to have it at Fuddruckers, which is mostly a burger place. My husband had asked our friend if they still only made burgers or if they now made chicken, because I can’t eat beef and am very allergic to pork. Our friend told us they now had chicken and veggie burgers. I told my husband not to worry because as long as they had salads I would be fine.
Very few people understand about my pork allergy and many think it gotta be the weirdest thing ever. We got there early before everyone by about 20 minutes. My husband and I decided this would be a good time for me to ask some questions about how they do their grills. We asked someone and right away they said a manager was the one we needed to talk to about our food allergies. I was impressed with the manager attitude, and understanding. He has allergies but he also has the attitude of we want everyone to be able to eat here.
I asked him if the chicken was cooked on the same grill as their pork products. He told me they where cooked on another grill, I did go on to explain I am highly allergic to pork. I think I do this just to make sure the restaurant understands that if they aren’t being honest it could really cause both of us some serious problems. He explained that beef and pork where cooked on the same grill but their veggie and chicken where cooked somewhere else. Okay this is good to know. My next question is about the fries. Are the fries cook in the same grease as some of your fried pork products. No we have separate grills for our fries. He explained to me he had a couple of customers like me, who he had to watch for, and that a couple of them he makes their food just to make sure they are safe. Okay I don’t need him to cook my meal as long as the pork is cooked on another grill so I am not going to worry about getting him to cook it for me. On of his cooks is good enough, and shouldn’t be no concerns.
After a few minutes of talking we had our questions answered clearly and better then most places my husband and I go to. We decided we would wait outside for our group. While waiting the manager came up and we started talking. I asked him what Pop products they have because I know some of Coke products I have to be careful of because of their insisting on using a bunch of fake sugars. They had Pepsi products which meant I got to have my favorite pop.
After most everyone was there we went up to order. I had the veggie burger and it was pretty good. I think food tastes better if in the back of your mind your not worrying about is this possibly going to make me sick and require me to need meds right away.
What I found amazing that for my husband and I we spent there the same amount as if we went to Perkins and sometimes that amount is the same as with tip. I am not saying there high price but they are not exactly like fastfood neither in there price but yet you get no real wait services.
I think the customer service was very good and I will probably want to go back there, maybe sometimes when we go out with a couple of our friends.
I wonder if any of their sandwhichs would be found on a Mediterranean cruises.
