New Traffic Law

This morning I was listening to the Radio. The DJ had brought up a new law here in Minnesota which starts tomorrow. They have finally past a law which states no texting while driving, but I guess you can’t be pulled over for just that, the police officer has to pull you over for something else. Okay I see a loop hole here, I hope other people see it too.
First I think this is a great law, I am so sick of my husband Texting while he is driving, or sending me a text while I am driving. Now I have a very good reason not even to worry about it until I get home, no texting even at a stop light. I hope people take this serious, I know there are drivers out there who feel texting does not affect their driving my husband one of those. I have been in the car with him while he is looking at a text and it’s not very comfortable, honestly it down right scary because the car isn’t exactly going to stop if someone pulls out in front of him or slams their breaks. How is he going to see or anyone who texting going to see what about to happen if they are watching their cellphone. I know there are a few people out there who don’t need to look at the phone to send a text and I would like to know how they are doing it. It’s amazing.
I think this law could be trophies of all the laws I have heard this year. I think it’s great! Now here’s the thing I don’t get, why would they pass a law like this and not allow the police to pull someone over who is texting. Why do they have to break another law in order to be pulled over. Come on how are they going to be able to tell the person texting on a other moving violation.
They should pass a law for people with big vehicles, and how to have manors with them.

Cloverhill Strawberry Kiwi Danish

Where’s the Kiwi in this, I don’t taste it at all. I do taste the Strawberry. Strawberry and Kiwi normally work well together, I enjoy it most of the time because it gives the sweetness of Strawberry with the tartness of the Kiwi.
Cloverhill Strawberry Kiwi Danish has 480 calories. I gotta start thinking about that when I get hungry at work and don’t want what I brought for snack. It is fairly large and the dough isn’t like most danish I have had, it is very soft and kind of sticky. The dough part of the danish sticks to the rough of the mouth. I can’t recall any Danish where I had problems with sticky dough. I wonder if they cooked it all the way. I will say this isn’t a help to the best fat burners I have right now. I sure I gained a couple of pounds by eating it.
Even with the lack of Kiwi taste and the stickiness of the dough it is still okay. It will do in a pinch when I need breakfast and that pretty much one of the few choices I have, so it does work in a pinch. I honestly don’t think I would get it in a grocery store or gas stations because I can find something better in there. I would have liked to taste more of the Kiwi then what was there. The one good thing about this is they seem to be kosher which is good. I know there is no pig lard in it so it’s safe for me.

Wouldn’t have linked it

Two years ago during the process of getting ready for my wedding. I went to Macy’s to register there for gifts. I really like most of the dishes they had and some of the other stuff like candle holders. When I registered they gave me a red bag, made by the same people as the Swiss Army Knife. It is red and looks kind of like canvas.
I will have to say I am familiar with Swiss Army Knives and always have like them, but today when I saw who the maker of my little bag I was surprised. This isn’t a product I would have linked to them. I am happy to say my bag is still in great condition even though I use it regularly to carry my snacks and other things in it. I will be using it for a couple of things for class tonight. I am sure it can hold up against 1 binder and a couple of pins, since I normally put a little bit more in there.
It has gotten a little dirty because right now I am working in a warehouse environment, and have to place it on the floor. I will have to figure out a way to clean it so I don’t damage it.
It’s great there are basically 3 little sections the middle section is very thin but it works great to place smaller thinner items like my time card or a CD. The other 2 sections, are big enough to carry my small purse and what ever else I need in it. I use it for Church to and it nice to be able to put in a binder or something for children worship. Lets see I really like that there is a little pocket which zips up in the bag. It’s small so if I don’t want to take my purse, I can put my ids, credit card or checks in there. It safe and no one wiser unless I share it with them. I really do enjoy this bag.
The only thing I wish I had was wheels on this bag because it hard to carry it. Would be nice if they had wheels like a Bob stroller, this way I could just pull it along.

M&M Premiums Mint Chocolate Candy

Let me start by saying Yummy! I have always enjoyed M&M candies a lot, my favorite M&M are the peanut ones. I don’t often eat M&M because I would be a pig about it. So once in a while I will get a treat. I will say that the Mint Chocolate candy remind me of Andy’s Thin Mints which are one of my favorite candies. I am not a huge chocolate person but certain chocolates I like a lot.
They are little green with white spikes on them, with a little M on it. They are about the same size as M&M are. They come in a little package have to say it looks strange to me. We found them on sale a while ago at Walgreens and hubby got me one.
But I better stay off of the hubby subject. This Chocolate is a special flavor I guess would be good to call it. It comes in a 6oz box. Calories are a little high per serving but not any worst then other candies I have had in my life time. I think if I ever take Orlando vacations I might see if they have the M&M chocolate Mint, it could make my breath smell nice and chocolaty with a pleasant hint of mint. A serving size is 1/4 cub but I don’t even think I eat that many at one sitting. I am surprised how big of a serving they recommend to be honest.

I hope you can help

Today I called T-Mobile, I had two problems. One was pretty major in my mind, because I was going to be stuck with a huge overage fee. Lets see overage is 40 or 45 cents, so my bill was going to be close to 48 bucks over. Yeah that not good. My 2nd problem is the last week or so I haven’t been able to receive my husband text, and he me. This is a problem since my husband and I can’t always talk on the phone.
I have went over my minutes because of going back to school and family troubles. I am not seeing my minute usage for a bit staying under 600 minutes, so I needed to figure out what was my best route. Do I get the Fav. five or increase to 1000 minutes. I wasn’t sure what the best fix would be for this so I decided to call in and discuss it with someone.
I will say I am impressed with the Customer Service people at T-Mobile Call center, they listen and take the time to help, and discuss the option. I started out my conversation with, I hope you can help me. After talking to the customer service person I had explained that this month my phone has been used a lot. Between school and my husband parent being sick. I explained that I was calling people in my family or friends when my husband wasn’t around so I could vent some stuff out. She had told me that it sounded like increasing the minutes was my best course of action and that she could back date it. Instead of being close to 50 more this month it would only be 10 more then normal. Okay I can handle that very easily. She answered my questions about the Fav five problem with that is my classes change each month and maybe not at the same time each month. I can change all five of them once a month. She explained it to me which was nice.
Then I brought up the Texting issue with my husband. I found out that Virgin and T-Mobile need to learn to play better together. I asked her while talking to her about it. Can’t you guys just play nicely together, it make life easier for my husband and I. She explained to me what T-mobile was doing which was helpful. I know that T-Mobile is at least trying something. She told me have my husband call the other company and complain to them because it seems like it a problem between us both. Hopefully they will get this problem fixed soon and start working like a well oiled fitness equipment

Pantry Mark Steak Sauce

My husband and I don’t use a lot of steak sauce, because we don’t eat beef. I found out I can have lamb which is nice if cooked right. I think my husband got lucky because I am a very good cook and normally I can figure out what to do with different types of meats.
Normally for my lamb I do a mixture of stuff, and then serve it well done. We do not like rare meat. We didn’t want to spend a bunch of money, so we decided we would try Market Pantry Steak sauce, I want to say we got it from Target.
This sauce is not thick but not liquidity, personally I like the thickness of the steak sauce. It has a tangy taste of it. For being so low in calories I am surprised how high the Sodium is, wow you could float away with the sodium I think. Maybe I aught to get inflatable boats to float away with. There is only 15 calories and 300mg of Sodium. Wow, I would have never thought that, even though it’s tastes good it’s fairly on the unhealthy side for the heart.

Dead Until Dark

I just got done reading “Dead Until Dark” by Charlaine Harris, she was my stopgap between another author and her book in a series. I was at Border needing to find something to read. I like mystery, suspense and romance, romance to a point. Now a good book is when all three get added together. “Dead Until Dark, is about a Vampire named Bill and his human Shookie.
Shookie’s got a problem she’s telepathic, which to say the less makes her life uncomfortable, and well dating just can’t happen. She meet Bill and she can’t read his mind, his mind is blank to her. Naturally she have to be attracted to him right? Shookie, I wouldn’t call her a plain girl but she not exactly educated neither.
Bill is attracted to her but tries to warn her about the danger like most novels with Vampires, they always seem so nice, but they always say they are bad. I think Harris done a great job of showing some of the evils, but she keeps it interesting and even though you know a human and vampire aught not to be together, you want to see Sookie and Bill together.
One thing for sure none of these vampires would be found on Mediterranean cruises, she has the vampires as newly unhidden people in the world. I really have enjoyed the plot line, and the other supernatural characters in her book.
My husband told me her age and I was surprised she wasn’t younger closer to my age, but boy does she right well, and very easy to follow. She had me within the first chapter of the first and second book. The Third book, I think the first chapter was a little harder to get through, sometimes it seems like she trying to explain to first time readers. This is probably a good thing because I can not tell you how many times I have picked up a book in a series and it wasn’t the first one. I have once grabbed the 3rd book in a series and that’s kind of funny. I can tell you I was lost and wish it was explained better.
I would not recommend the “Dead Until Dark” series to a young reader, there are some scenes I wouldn’t want a young reader reading. If I had a daughter, I wouldn’t introduce her to the book until she at least 16 to 18 years old. There is some disturbing things in the book, but I probably find them disturbing because of some personal experience. I don’t find talking about drinking blood or what not disturbing but when things start sounding like rape or is very rough. I don’t know it’s just unsettling.
I will say I am impressed that she does not feel the need to use G-d’s name in a crude manor. I don’t mind an occasional cuss word. Now G-d’s name is one of the thing I just don’t tolerate. Funny I can read Vampire books, and not be at all offended until they start using words that aren’t becoming. Charlaine Shows a ton of Talent with Words because she doesn’t have to get her point across by using a bunch of fowl language. I think her and my other favorite author are right close to running for my favorite author.

Peaches in Cereal

Last night my husband and I had to go over to Lunds, normally I am not a very big breakfast person when I am working at 7am. Today I came home early, so I decided I would give this a try. I got the Honey Bunches of Oats with Real Peaches. Wow, normally I am not very big on healthy cereal but usually I enjoy Honey Bunches of Oats. I do have to be careful not to over do it on wheat products, but it quick and easy and didn’t require me to stand a long time on my ankle.
A serving is 3/4 cups and is 160 calories with 1/2 cup of skimmed milk. Since I am allergic to milk I use soy milk which I believe may be less or just a little more then that. I will say I am surprised that the Vitamin received from eating this isn’t higher, it’s got real fruit bites, so it just seems the vitamin should be a little higher. There is no cholesterol which surprised me but the Sodium is a higher then I would like to see.
Fiber is only 2g which is low considering this is main has whole wheat and oats and corn in it.. So it surprising that that all we get from fiber. I am not saying it bad or good but just seems a little low.
There is no calcium in the cereal but I wouldn’t expect their to be. Calcium is a little harder to come by.
Over all the Cereal tastes good it a little bit on the sweet side of the scale, but the peaches really do taste nice. The cereal is pretty crunchy to which is nice.
I was surprised how filling the cereal is, I hope they keep the peaches one in their stock because I really do like it. It’s a nice treat but grant it tonight I have to figure out what to eat that doesn’t have a bunch of wheat in it. I wonder if Hilton Head rentals has this type of cereal for breakfast. It’s was great seeing the peaches in the cereal it added some nice color, and since they made the pieces big enough you can tell what they where unlike some other cereal, were they have fruit but good luck telling it’s fruit and not part of the cereal bits.

Mendota Springs Flavored Water

Great they where all out of my H20, last week, which is what my husband and I both prefer. I decided to give Mendota Spring bottled water a try. I will say so far I think H2O is the best carbonated water. Mendota Springs bottled water is pretty good, they didn’t make the flavor to weak but they didn’t exactly make it strong enough neither. It will work in a pinch.
The water is clear, and has some bubbles in it because of the Carbonation in the water. When the water gets spilled it is a little sticky, I am not sure why it is because there really no sugar or artificial sugars in it. I like this because there is no fake sugars which now days is impossible to find in most beverages. The surprising thing is when different beverages use fake sugar they don’t even say it’s diet on the packaging , or that they are so people who are allergic like me have to read every single ingredient and that gets time consuming. So it is nice to know I can grab that one a hot day and drink down a bunch and not worry about the outcome.
I will say drinking carbonated water quickly isn’t wise it causes the hiccups or gas in the tommy which gives it own side effects. Even though it’s not my most preferred water I don’t have any comments about it that not becoming of the product.
I think sometimes finding good flavored drinking water is similar to finding ram for a laptop, there might be many good brands out there but some work better then other for the particular computer

Not good timing

On Friday I twisted my ankle. I ended up going to one of Fairview’s Urgent cares here in Minnesota. I had waited till Monday before going in, normally I will wait 3 to 5 days after being hurt. Why because seeing doctors are expensive and the only time I don’t mess about is when it my asthma. If I get sick and have something effecting the asthma I know better then waiting around. Other wise I am in good health. Just asthma and allergies, and sometimes a higher white cell count. I have always been like that since I can remember, they believe it due to the allergies and asthma so no worries. I hardly get sick unless I get a upper resp infection. Usually when I fall I don’t break anything.
On Monday I went into urgent care, got the same doctor from my fall at work. I fall at work a few weeks ago, so this was seriously the last thing I needed. I was able to walk out that time with no need for equipment this time I walked out with crutches and a Air Cast. I had fractured the bone, and he had told me I needed to see a Foot specialist. This worried me a little because if it’s a simple fracture why do I need to see a foot specialist.
They referred me to the guy next door. So I went the next day. I saw my xray and boy was that fracture very tiny and I was surprised at the amount of pain it caused until the Foot doctor told me what else was going on with me. I managed to bursted my ligaments and tendon, okay that answers all the swallowing and pain when I put any wait on it. I was worried that I would suddenly need to pay for a surgery with out insurance. Thank Goodness he said right away there’s no need for surgery. I was able to loss my crutches and was put in a walking boat. It feels so much better then the aircast and jumping on one leg which is probably still healing since the hib and knee started hurting badly.
I will have to say I am proud of them for not trying to take advantage of someone who had no help to cover everything under the sun. They referred me to a out reach program but the problem with that is for a 2 person family seriously I don’t know any couples making that much money. My husband and I make a little more money, and honestly we bearly make ends meet each other, we do but heaven forbid get into trouble. We have a saving account for emergency and I already used part of that for some things.. I will have to start putting money away agian. We have been using it for visiting his parents, and paying of my college and now this. I feel bad that everything is happening to my husband and I.
I wonder if DNA testing could maybe help determine if a person is going to be susceptible, I just wondering if our DNA can tell us more then who we are related to, but are we also susceptible for other stuff.
