Monster squad

My hubby decided to rent monster squad this was a movie made in the late 1980’s. When he told me what it was about, I thought it would be interesting. Lets see their creepy old German neighbor was a Jewish survive even though it wasn’t clear in the movie or at least not said verbally. The character said that he had seen many monsters in his day. When he closed the door it showed the tattoo had received. This was a movie supposed to be meant for younger children but honestly, I do not think they got the point across very well here. That was a very adult type of foreshadowing…..
The movie had hit our most disliked word two times. They had Dracula, Frankenstein, Werewolf, mummy, and a dark lagoon character. Personally I do not think they did a very good job of picking out Dracula, he didn’t really look a vampire or any undead person. He didn’t even look pale like most descriptions I have read of vampires but this was the late 80’s so maybe they just didn’t have a good clue.
The town kids had a monster club but when the monsters came they where ready to fight. This was a interesting movie, but I wouldn’t recommend it for children. I would say maybe at least 13 years old would be okay but it is still questions. I wonder if they had NC health insurance. By the end of the movie the creepy neighbor had made friends with the kids and pretty much saved the town with them.
