It’s to cold

Yesterday on our way home with dad dog, I realized we needed to stop at the store pick up some Dog food and a jacket and boots for shadow, so she wouldn’t get to cold outside it is very cold her. Shadow doesn’t like the snow or the cold. I am going to have to get to learn she has to go potty outside not inside.
We went to Petsmart off of Lyndale by 494, here in the cities. We found a small jack for Shadow, boy they are expensive worst just about as bad as buying clothes. We also picked up some booties, we got her a pink sweeter and pink little booties for her.
We found dog food, I decided to go with Pedigree I am hoping it a good brand. I know Purina One is good in cat food. We decided that picking up treats for them would be better at the grocery store. How I look at it is why buy the exact same brand at the petstore for way more when I can get the same thing somewhere else for less. The same if I wanted a Suunto watches if I knew I could get it at another store for a lower cost I might pick the lower cost place, because it’s the brand that is important.
I was surprised I still had my discount with Petsmart I haven’t used it in so long. I forgot all about it good thing my phone number worked for the discount. Now shadow got food, clothes, and treats. Now when hubby comes home he’ll have to take the dog out.

I don’t just the cheapest brand

I thought telling the young lady would work to say just pick the cheapest brand of cig for dad would work. It didn’t and I don’t smoke, but when I did for a short time I did marbros. I am highly allergic to cig smoke so I try not to be around it to much. I decided while grocery shopping for food we needed but really can’t afford you, everyone knows how that goes lately unless your pretty close to rich.

Cubs has been remodeling and changing their design. It used to be Candy was on Isle one, now it’s on Isle for. Oh no I forgot to get popcorn oh well, we can do with out. I got a gift certificate and had a little bit of cash on me so I decided I would use the gift certificate, holiday bucks and my cash which lift me a little short. Oh well, we’ll deal.  The young lady who was waiting on me at the register was a sweet young lady. They actually had to have an other cashier ring in my dad cigs. I was asked for my id. Okay I am 32 years old, and fine I don’t have many gray strands yet.

I was able to get everything on my list and a couple of things I forgot to put on my list. Today everyone at cub foods were very helpful. This is the first time that every where I turned their was someone their to help answer question or find products I couldn’t find it was nice. I like cubs.. You know I should have asked where they keep their candles if they sale them for my Votive candle holders. I love Cub Foods since I get cents off of gas and holiday bucks.

KFC in Cleveland Ave, St Paul Mn

On Friday night we went to KFC for dinner, we took dad a long with us. He wanted his crispy chicken breast, mash potatoes, and BBQ beans because they were out of the biscuit. Hubby had the same thing as his dad, except 2 sides of BBQ beans, and I had the chicken leg, thigh combo with bbq beans, and their side salad.
Their side salad should have been called lettuce and tomato because it wasn’t a salad at all, what happened to the onions and green peppers. Their bbq bean where good as always, and they are still vegetarian beans so I can eat them with out worry.
One thing I have always wonder is why do some of their KFC only do vegetarian, and other places do pork wouldn’t it be easier to do all one way, it seems the area that have a high volume of Muslim get their way. Wen my husband once asked why, we where told because of the Muslim community, so it caused us both to have the same question. Not to be mean so what terrorist attack us, and we are worried about not offending them but yet many of these area had Jewish people in it for many years. So I guess it don’t make sense to me, why they waited so long. I am not saying all Muslim are terrorist, because they are not I guess it makes no sense to me that for many years there been a huge Jewish area and they do nothing until the Muslims move in. Interesting or maybe it just seems that way. I do not have a problem with Muslim and most of them are great, it just a very small fraction which gives them a black eye which is to bad. But Christian don’t have much to talk about neither because they have done plenty in the name of G-d that shouldn’t have been done. But off that box.
The chicken was served very hot, and tasted pretty good. We all got the crispy chicken it was a little bit on the greasy side but it was still good. I am not a big greasy person. The only thing I had a issue with is that their salad wasn’t a salad at all. Most of the tables were also dirty which I wasn’t happy about, cleanliness is very important, there bathroom was clean so that was good. The dining room area would have made a good spider trap.

Acer desktop computers

Well normally I do not write about things I do not own. My husband owns the Acer computer, I have used it a couple of time and at first they seemed like a great brand for a cheaper computer. I was impressed with how well it worked at first. Well Hubby has owned it for 9 months now, and the beginning of this month the hard drive stopped working.
My husband got a 2 yr extended warranty. Okay what’s the point of a extended warranty when it doesn’t cover anything. The geek squad at Best Buy told hubby that his recover disk was not working, and he would need to contact Acer. They had to replace the hard drive because it stop working, which is why it shut down on it own. Okay no big deal we thought, shouldn’t be to hard to handle calling them and giving them the information they need.
Ha, they wasted over a hour of my (our) Cell phone minutes, and hung up on hubby at least twice. Okay finally we get a rep who helping him, and at the end of the call she informs my hubby there’s a charge for the disk because they only warranty software for 30 days. Wait a minute, the hard drive stopped working the software would have been fine had that not stop working. By the time shipping and handling was covered hubby spent close to 33.00$. I do not feel it is right for ACER to charge my hubby for a replacement software CD, because it is their fault the hard drive failed. There was no virus in the computer, the Hard drive stopped spinning correctly. Now that being said if someone loses the software because they have to replace the hard drive in under a year ACER should make good and send out the CD to hubby for free with an apology that he lost everything including his book he was working on.
We are hoping our Rabbi who knowledgeable in computers can help hubby get his novel out of the computer. I hope they can get his work out, hubby worked very hard on that novel. Hopefully he will learn to back up his data, speaking of that my Toshiba needs to be backed up for the data again….. Been a couple of months. It’s amazing I have had my laptop for 4 years now and never once has it crashed, to the point of needing a new hard drive. Something tells me when I give it to hubby it will die on him.. Hubby seems to kill computers, he owns then and they just want to die.
Now I know my husband didn’t do anything to his desktop because he got a good virus scanner, one I am hoping to get the internet security version of, for my two computer. It would give us 3 copies so we could put it on this computer also for hubby.
I was thinking about making my next computer possibly a Acer if I decided building my own would be to expensive but now with what happened this past week, no thanks I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. If they aren’t going to stand behind their hard drive and make things right when it crashes they don’t deserve to be recommended to people.

My Mad Catz, Bluetooth Headset

My husband got me a early Hanukkah present this week. Yes Hanukkah doesn’t start till Sunday but you know how men can be impatient, and want to do it right away. We both needed bluetooth but never could afford it, we had plenty of trade in credits, to get to different one. He started out with the Sony Blue tooth but it was so large it just didn’t stay on my ear, so we went back for the smaller one. This one is not the best fit for me but it will work a lot better then Sony did. I wish Sony would do a smaller version of the blue tooth but oh well, Mad Catz will work well in place of Sony.
I told my husband keep the one he bought for me for his present, and we went back to Gamestop, and got the Mad Catz.
It is a little on the heavy side and the ear piece isn’t exactly flexible. I have small ears, or womanly type ears, this works well for my hear I just like the one that also has the thing that rest inside the ear because it would block out background knows better when your talking to someone. Other wise it works great! it’s better then what I had before which was nothing, so when driving I always had to hold my cellphone to my ear or put it on speaker and still hold it so this will allow me to drive hands free.
We have no wood flooring, so when I am walking around in the apartment I won’t have to worry about people hearing that in the background. Would I recommend this bluetooth, yes for woman or men with small years, it would work good.
Setting it up with the cellphone wasn’t the easiest thing to accomplish but after I figured it out it wasn’t to hard to do.
Overall I would say Mad Catz is a acceptable bluetooth but I wouldn’t say it’s the greatest out there, but it works well.

The Last Remnant

My husband and I recently got the Last Remnant for the Xbox 360. I will say the graphics are a little below what I would have liked seing them althrough they were still good graphics. The character you start with is Rush, I would say he a teenager and is full of an attitude but he’s trying to save what apears to be his little sister so he a good boy maybe acts a little bit like a kid and rushes into things he aught not.
His first battles will be done with a rather strong group, and most battles if you have a good strategy to begin with you’ll be able to conquer them. Watch your health closely because if Rush dies the game is over, no one in his party can raise him from the dead. I do not like this fact, if he has a party member in his group still alive he should be allowed to be resurrected by his team mate, expecially when some of the battles are close to impossible to bet with out deing at least once.
To get people in your party you need to go to the local guild. I got everyone I could right away, I figure get backup would be good.
Rush doesn’t want to call the prince of athalum David, he likes calling him Dave, not sure, and Davids people don’t like the disrespect but they are pretty much ordered to play nicely.
Rush after the first part of the game will be able to get some companion of his own, they will give him diet supplements to restore his health. Make sure if he looks like he might get low or has a lot of enemys around him that you comand him to watch his HP even if that means you fall out of dead lock. I have yet to earn any achievements on this game, which is good because it means achievements are not easy.
In the battle sometimes they will flash up the ybxa do not hit it to fast wait till it tells you, I have found a hard time of not hitting it before they show me which button or trigger I need.
The game is okay my favorite character sofar is mr. diggs. He’s trouble for a town but looks like Rush adopts him and puts him to work digging for stuff. This is good for Mr. Diggs because he can’t bug the shop keepers of this town and good for you because he finds you medals and other items in the ground or cave walls.

Persona 4

Recently we where sent an copy of Persona 4 to share our opinion of it. Normally I do not like games unless I get to go exploring in the game. My preffered style of attacks are swords and magic use. I tend to be more of a magic user in some games and other a sword user. Persona 4 for PS 2 is different then most games I would normally want to play. Not enough exploring and not enough action in the battle field, but for some reason I want to keep finding out where the story is headed, so I play. I think they did a good job with the story line because it stays fairly interesting.

You get to name your character in the game, I didn’t realize he would be male so my character got a woman name, serves him right.  The game starts out with him starting a new school because he has to live with his uncle, before he gets there he has a strange dream in a velvet room. Eventually he starts learning what the dream means and he battling shadows in the Tvland, these shadows are I guess best way to put it your evil half or a half of you, you don’t want to admit to having. If you deny it’s apart of you it gets ugly and tries to distroy you, be ready for a battle. Lets just put it this way you will always have a battle because none that you want to save want to admit to their bad half of their personality.

Right know the first boss battle I haven’t exactly figured out the best way to defeat him, it’s a horse and my goodness he ugly can wipe me out in one hit. The question I have is what did I do wrong to begin with, I will figure it out soon enough. This game requires strategy so I just have to think through a couple of ways for me to do it. I gotten all the way up to the boss battle, so I just have to figure out how to kill him, and then move on.

The graphics in this game to me don’t seem to impressive out of tv land, Tvland is strange. I like to know what’s up with the bear there, he seems empty, he is empty.  Pick wisely what items you want to get better, I didn’t and ended up with upgrading all my weapons when it should have been upgrading armor for the 2 boys. The girl who joins has chain mill which is wierd that she already equiped with it when the other two are not. Your character starts off with Seiko watches, which is great for telling time but not to give him any added benefits.

I really hope they do it

I have been with T-mobile since 2004, and recently renewed my contract with them for a new phone I wanted this summer. Dad asked if, I could get him a cell phone and I told him yes I can simply add you on to my phone with a family plan. Today we stop at T-Mobile on our way home from service, and spoke with one of their guys. My husband was looking at the Cell phone but for the last year or so he been against a family plan because of a 2 year contract. I don’t care about contracts, I figure T-mobile been very good to me over the last few years so what harm will 2 years do us. I didn’t think my husband would listen to me about getting him on the same service.

I knew a few years ago I was approved for 2 lines, and was approved tonight for 2 lines or have a deposit of 250$. I told the guy that’s to much and isn’t fair, since I been with you all, since like 2004 or maybe 2003. The guy was already calling the number for approval, I got the 3rd line, which was my husband line. No matter what dad would have walked out with his phone tonight, even if that meant hubby didn’t get his phone. I made a promise to dad, he deserves promises kept, so I am glad I got the 3 lines because hubby now doesn’t have to spend more money. He actually saves money. Grant it I ended up spending more money, but I think it’s 10 bucks at most.

My Hubby got a phone which is a MP3 player, am/fm radio, and phone, he really liked the phone and had decided it was better then what he already had. He got the Nokia one, can’t remember the number of the model, just the brand.
Dad was able to get a phone he likes to we got him the Samsung T639, I believe is the number it a nice little flip phone with big enough keys for dad to use. Dad is 86 Years Old, so it’s important to keep it easy. Grant it there’s a camera on the phone, like he going to use that or figure out how to do it.
What we ended up getting was the family plan with 1000 minutes, T-mobile to Mobile, My Fav, and unlimited texting for families. My husband loves getting a bunch of text messages, and well frankly I don’t wanna pay a bunch for texting, so unlimited with him is the wisest choice we had.

It was nice of the guy to call and get a 3rd line approved for the services I am getting, now we are all together, which I like. I didn’t even have to say much to him to get him to do it. I believe they value their long time customers. Hubby no longer has the excuse he out of cell phone minutes, so he can’t talk.. I guess neither do I. Plus we don’t have to worry when we call dad because those minutes don’t take minutes away. I got the cell phone I like this summer with a 2 year contract. I love this phone, although I’ve notice the paint pretty much is wearing off on some of the keys, but I still can tell which keys. I will keep that in mind next time I get a phone. I have my eye on a type I like but hey in close to 2 years they will have more phones to pick from. We found out transferring the number of a Pre-paid phone could take up to over a day, so hubby decided it would be best to just get a new phone number . Hubby is very happy with his new phone.

It is interesting having my fav now, I didn’t know you could pick icons for each of your fav people. Now the problem is I have only 3 people in my favorite list. So I have room for 2 more people. The problem is if we didn’t get the my fav, 1000 minutes wouldn’t have been enough. I will have to decide 2 other people I talk to most often. Most of my friends seem to be on T-mobile. Now maybe with school, I have a few people to add on to that list or a couple of people. I have a couple friends from school but I haven’t been calling them all that much.

At both of the Stores, we went to the one in St. Paul on Ford, and the One here in Edina, on Lyndale and American all did a great job. They answered our question. The one in St. Paul spent time answering my husband question even though at this time hubby wasn’t sure he wanted a family plan. Now, maybe the guy their had something to do with my husband changing his mind. I just hope that it works to our benefit having dad on a cell phone, considering he is living with us it’s probably a good idea this way he can call for help if needed.

So overall T-mobile this week has done a great job with customer service. I called a couple of times to customer service 800 number having a brain fart. After my brain fart they where able to suggest a couple of phone which would work great for dad. Now we will see how well his phone works for him. I know Samsung is a good brand. Nokia I personally don’t care for but they are a good brand too. Just a personal preference. I guess we will get dad used to some modern furniture now that he is up here with us. Dad seems happier living with my husband and I, we will keep taking good care of him.

fluids can cause so much trouble

Sunday I had to place a call to Autozone, I found out my power steering was dry to the bone. No wonder I could bearly turn my car. I was surprised. I never realized that no fluids in the power steering would cause it problems like it was having. I spoke with a mechanic friend on Saturday and he said it sounded like power steering and I decided I would check the fluids and see if adding some was needed sure enough it needed fluids.
On Sunday morning I went out checked the car and decided I would call them. Over the phone the girl told me that it would be 2$, I got their the guy tried to sale me some for 4$. I asked him can I use any kind of Power Steering for my van and now your telling me I need something a lot more expensive. Well I ended up walking out with the cheapest stuff possible. I know usually I try to go medium priced but I just didn’t have the money.
It’s amazing how I can call a company and be told one thing while talking to them, then go in their and have them change the brand and price I aught to get. I hate it when that happens.
I guess everyone does it even jewellers because it’s happens with diamond rings, and other fun things.
Overall the customer service at Autozone was pretty good. I for the most like Autozone because as a woman they are the place I have found the most respect.
