Friday Dinner at BakerSquare

With all of the eating out I am going to need some serious weight loss diet pills, Friday we took dad to Baker Square, for their pie shop special. We take him our once a week, and then Saturday we eat out, and sometimes when we do the casino. So it’s a lot of eating out, it don’t help I been told a few times by someone I am fat and don’t look good. Oh well because to be honest back when they thought I looked good I was dangerously underweight and at least I am not dangerously over weight.
Baker Square was good on Friday night but I think I would have like a salad better, then the sandwich I had. I didn’t much like the sandwich because there is just not enough good stuff on them and it wasn’t a hot sandwich. I do like their soup which is the tomato basil, it’s one of my favorite soups and I hate soups usually, but their tomato basil is like the best. I had a cherry pie. hubby had a sandwich and chicken soup. He seemed happy with his food, for pie he had a Orange cream one or something. It had nice orange flavor to it but I personally wouldn’t want a piece of it. Dad had the apple pie. Boy those pies where unneeded calories but oh well.

Time for a oil change

Looks like I am the queen of bad news. I had to take my van in for a oil change yesterday. I knew I was losing power steering fluid, because I been adding it in like it’s just about peeing it all out. I asked the mechanic to look at the power steering and find out if I have a leak or something because I have to fill it back up at least twice a week. Yep there’s a bit of a leak in it. I asked him how much it would take to fix the power steering he told me with how many miles on it, it would be best to get a new car.
Well at least it an honest answer. My oil change was done in a timely manner, and the people there were professional enough for oil change people.
I guess I will have to talk to my personal banker to see if I can get approved for a small car loan. I’d rather see about a loan for a manufactured homes, so I can get some land and be done with living in apartments. I went to Marathon gas station by the MOA, they where very quick and efficient for me.

Dad’s Birthday at Ourback Steak House

On the 13th it was dad birthday. We decided outback would be the best place because they have pretty good food there. Dad had a steak, so did hubby. We had 2 other people with us, man I have never seen a bill as high as that one for eating out. :) The food was good and everyone was happy, with what they got. The food was served hot and yummy. Dad hit 87 years this last week, man have you ever tried to get a term life insurance quotes online for a man that old. It’s simply not going to happen.
I ordered the BBQ honey chicken with the yam fries.I really liked the seasoning on the yam fries, it was a good complement and normally I do not enjoy a lot of seasonings on my food. The chicken tasted good, and was just the right size for me to eat, along with the fries.
No one at our table complained about their food. I told our waitress it was dad 87th b-day and if she could do something to make him feel special we’d appreciate it. She brought him a huge Sunday to share with everyone him and his grandson ate it all. I been trying to watch my weight so I didn’t eat any.

Our special night at Don Poblos

On the 13th my husband and I hit 3 years of being married. We didn’t celebrate that day because his dad b-day was on the 13th also so we went to another restaurant which I will write about shortly. One of our favorite places is probably Don Poblos its a little Mexican restaurants. We went on Saturday night, and spent some time together there. Hubby had a upset stomach so he had their fried icecream. Don’t ask me he claims it makes his stomach feel better. You’d think milk on an already upset stomach would make it worst. Oh well hubby isn’t normal by any means.
I order a combo dinner again. I like their tacos and enchiladas so that what I had. I also order their corn bread thing. I really like that bread it’s very good. One reason I like this restaurant so much is because they do not use pork products in their beans which is good for me. I hope they never change their menu in a way hubby and I will have to stop going.
One thing for sure I have never broke out in hives at Don Poblos yet, which is good. To bad Acnepril doesn’t deal with hives. This is a great little restaurant for date nights or for families. There are plenty of great options.

Opinion: The Proposal

This weekend my husband and I decided to go and see the Proposal. I could almost relate to the actress except I am American citizen, and didn’t force my husband to marry me for that reason. I related to how accepted she was by the grandma and mother. I was impressed with how clean it was, there was a few parts which were fun but not for a young views. I was surprised at the rating but I guess it was for the nudity in the film.
There was a few part of the movie that were almost tear jerking and a few parts which where very fun. It was a nice change of pace. There was some language in it but nothing which my husband and I found offensive. The Murray Feiss Lighting was great in the movie and the sound was balance out well.
My favorite part of the movie was when she fall into the water, but lets face it if they were really in Alaska fulling in that water she would have froze to death, by the time he got her back home. There are always scenes in movies which you know isn’t going to happen. The least likable character in the movie was the guys father but he was also the most realistic person too.
I would not recommend this as a movie for family with young children, and it really depends on the youth majority level if I want them to watch it. This is a good film for a date night with your husband, or young adults.
