About two weeks ago my wireless keyboard and mouse pooped out on me. I needed a new keyboard and mouse for class, so I could participate and do other things on the computer. This was a cheap low cost keyboard and mouse set, and I didn’t have much money. Blame it on being a college student. Well I have to say I am pretty happy with the keyboard and mouse set. Now if I needed I could look up rv insurance for a friend or find a lake for my mom to jump in. I don’t know why mom can’t get her own computer and internet to look up lakes for fishing or if they are open.

What I like:
1. Keyboard and mouse are both small, it has taken me time to get used to the size of keyboard It fits nicely on top of my desk since someone broke the shelf that moves in and out that supposed to hold my keyboard and mouse.
2. The color is good.
3. There are short cut keys.
4. I can use it on my laptop if I want or on my desktop computer.

What I do not like:

1. The keyboard eats through batteries like candy.
2. If the keyboard is not visible by the receiver it doesn’t work well
3. I never get a low battery light when it needs new batteries the keyboard starts to leave out letters I hit and my sentence looks far worst then it ought.

I am happy with this product and feel I spent my moneys worth. It was on sale, and I do not remember neither of the prices.

Yahoo call center

Well I had to call Yahoo this week. Some how I got locked out of my email account, not sure what happened but I couldn’t get back in. I have most of my important communication in that email, school, apartment rental stuff, and other things, not to mention letters from family and friends. Well I was surprised that they are not open later during the day, or evening hours. I had to call them back the next day. I waited for about a half hour before the phone was answered. Oh well they did say it be a long wait, and I needed into my email account!
My laser printers wasn’t going to get the trick done so I needed to speak to them to get it back working.
I tried to get it to work on line, but it kept telling me my passwords and my security question where not right. Huh what you mean not right! Ugh I need my email, I talking to someone through email for homework and now I can’t get there. Boy was I frustrated. Well the next day I got through and was helped.
The customer service person was helpful and reassured me my email account was safe, and it was a glitch on their system. She wasn’t sure what happened but their system decided it didn’t like my email that I have had for the last five years. I am back in my account and honestly didn’t miss anything. She did a good job at reopening my account and accepting my answers even though I was like I am not sure what I used because I became confused with my security question on line when they said it was wrong.

Ugh Back in again

Okay I am frustrated! I have now had to take my laptop in 3 times in less then 3 months. Everytime I leave the laptop on it like for a virus scan or because I am playing my game that on line and I am in a party trying to help them stay Perfect. No I will not explain what a perfect party is my friends in Shayia will now what I am talking about, but it causes them to lose a me and have to find one, and cause me lose experience. This doesn’t talk about making sure my computer stays clear from virus as a bigger problem. I don’t even dare to do home work on it because if I have to walk away for a few minutes I might lose everything I worked hard on. I have a Toshiba, I have been very happy with my laptop up until the last few months, and now I am seriously thinking about trying Sony.
I can handle the laptop running hot and needing acne treatment products on my leg where I got burned. Yeah ouch, but putting a cool on it, has helped a lot. So I wonder how long Best Buy gonna keep it will it be a week a month. My warranty ends in a week, so i need to bring it in.

More on Window 7

I decided to write a little more on Window 7. So far I think it is better then Vista, and is easier to run in some ways. The only thing, I do not like is what my automatic update has been doing to me. After the computer updates it decides it has to powerdown with no warning or warnings which are missed, and normally I am in the middle of doing something. This will become a issue once I start college especially if I am working on homework assignments. I am starting my master program in about 10 days, yes I am counting down and excited about starting it. My laptop is meeting the minimum requirements of the school, so I guess maybe in the middle of the program I will need to go laptop computers shopping again. I will more unlikely stay with Toshiba unless I hear some bad reports. I have been very happy with my laptop, and all but one of my laptops have been Toshiba. I trust their quality, and I know I will get what I paid for, and I will be happy. My laptop is going on 3 years old and I have only had one problem with the keyboard and overheating. They fixed my keyboard and told me, how to prevent overheating in the future and now I have no troubles at all.
I like window 7 on my laptop it runs smoothly and works better then Vista did, it simply faster. I know that my computer has a safety save on things I am working on so hopefully if my computer powers down on it own that will work properly and i will not lose my entire assignments.

Well I think I have ordered enough from Amazon now to write about it. The first product I ever ordered from them was my Kindle, I was impressed with how timely I gotten my Kindle. I got it before I finish my books at home, thinking those books would run out before they got the Kindle restocked. I have ordered books for my Kindle on amazon and dad some hearing enhancement productions. I have started school again and had to order 3 books for school. My books came up to over 150$ combined expense. Ouch…. But then again some diet pills people take probably cost about the same for a 4 month supply which i believe my classes are 3 to 4 months. On Amazon I have the option to purchase my textbooks new or gently used, which in the end saves me money. One of my books I got a New paper back, even though I asked for a used book, but maybe they sold out or I hit new which I do not mind it was not that expensive anyways. At my college I would have spent over 100$ on the textbook at Amazon it was 78$, so this is a good savings. I got my first book yesterday, for my class when they told me it could take up to 2 weeks to arrive. My other 2 books are on the way here.
I have not had any trouble with my credit card information not being safe, I have not had any troubles with my account being over charged. Before Amazon I have ordered on line and got cure from it when my credit card information got used. As far as I know my husband hasn’t had trouble with Amazon. I believe Amazon is fairly safe and they do what they promise.
I will always look for the best prices for my textbooks. I am a graduate student, so these books can get very costly. I had a friend tell me for one of her Graduate classes she spent 500$ on books alone, I think i will cry if that happens. So overall I am very happy with Amazon.

I will start by saying thank goodness I have a extended service plan of sorts to get this thing fix. I am not happy that every single laptop I have purchase has never had an issue until this. I have been a very loyal buyer of Toshiba, and I expected this computer to be just as good as all the other ones I have purchased. I expected this to not overheat, not lose the “e” key or other things. I have noticed it sometimes moves on its own, like when I am typing and I cannot tell you how frustrating it is that it does that to me. Am I happy with Toshiba, not right now I am actually a little annoyed. Since I have put W7 in it running better, but there are still a lot of things in the startup, which is not needed but that okay. Will I still be Loyal to Toshiba it depends how long this computer lasts me if I have to replace it before 2-year warranty is up no I will try a new brand. If it lasts almost as long as the others then I might stick with it, after making sure there are no problems.

A couple of weeks ago I had to bring my laptop in for repairs. I will say I am glad I bought the extended warranty at Best Buy, this was a wise decision because when my keyboard “e” key came off I was able to get it fix for free, along with the overheating issue a couple of months ago. I was told it was going to take up to 4 weeks for me to receive my laptop back because they had to send it to Toshiba for repairs. I was worried about this because I am going on Vacation on Saturday which was 2 weeks away from the day I brought it in. We are going to northern Minnesota to a cabin since I couldn’t find the perfect Branson vacation packages for the family. Maybe next year it will work out. I told the Geek Squad person that not good because I am going on vacation and my mother board on the desktop is about to die on me. My motherboard died 2 days later. Ouch, well at least hubby had a desktop I could use until my laptop came back, but that wasn’t going to help for our vacation.
On Tuesday, I checked my email, and had a letter from Geek Squad and told me my stuff was ready for pickup. I didn’t believe it, no way, I had to read that wrong! Well I called my local Best Buy and spoke to them and they told me it was ready for me to come and pick it up. This is great I will have my laptop, which works well for traveling and writing on my blogs. My old laptop would work but it would take a long time to use.
Am I happy with the services provided yes, I still can’t believe I am using my laptop.

Window 7

I got Window 7 not to long ago and wanted to wait a while before I wrote about it. I am happy with it. I got the upgrade window 7 version. Now I know the ps3 will not use W7 its made by sony and I love my it.
So here is what you need to know about w7 upgrade, you can not upgrade from Business to home, or from 32 bit system to 64 bit system. This was something I did not know, but I guess hubby can use the other upgrade cd. It is important to back up your computer but I found that all my data was safe and not lost. I was very happy with this because I did not have to reload everything like my pictures.
Window 7 in some ways is a lot easier to use, and I am happy with it eventhough I am still trying to figure out a few things. One thing I do not like is how they bunch up all my internet browsers which bothers me. I do not like having to open that everytime I want to switch to a new page, I like the old way. I guess I could try to find out how to change it back to the old way and be happy again.
I am happy with W7 it looks nice and so far every update I’ve had hasn’t caused my computer to crash.

Newegg is a great place to get computer stuff and other things electronic but I don’t think you will ever see boots. I have used newegg now for a while and I really like it. One thing I do not like is that its hard to get questions answered and you almost have to do a lot of research on a product before getting it. It simple and I have always received my product in a timely manner. This time I order Window7 and I wish I would have not taken my husband word for it. I swear sometimes he acts like a knowitall and knows not enough. I love my husband but I wish I would have talked again to someone else to make sure I got it right. It would have saved me a good 7 1/2 hours. Oh well can’t change the fact now.
I ordered 2 upgrade on w7 I will write about it more when I used my laptop more. So far there is a couple things I do not like but i haven’t looked at it good yet and I need to do that.
Newegg normally has good deals from computer builders and I order enough to qualify sometimes this time I didn’t but oh well.

More on my Ipod Touch

Wow I can not believe the battery lasted over 10 hours. With the heat in the car the ipod made things a little more manageable . I guess we do not need anyweight loss supplements we probably sweet out a few pounds easily. The great thing about the ipod is the long life of the battery. It charges through the computer easily. It is able to play in the car with accessories and those accessories seem easier to store then the accessory of the older cd players.
The down side of the Ipod is on the maps it gives you highway routes and doesn’t let u ask for a alt route unless I just haven’t figured it out. In Illinois it best to stay off of the toll roads when you can or you spend lots of money. I lived her once and never liked paying tolls.. So the easy of maps are to be desired but I still have lots to learn.
What i like about the ipod are the maps because it can be done in high breed or satillite it finds your location for you or close enough. It has a alarm clock, and plays music a long time. I like that it is very easy to connect to the internet, and that it does not take long at all to do that. So far I have really enjoyed having my ipod and I hope I get many many months of enjoyment from it.
