Say What I Think

At first hubby and I felt having a Sam Club membership would be more money then if we just bought our food from a regular store. When dad moved in he ate threw certain things like it was going out of style and we where spending on cereal along over 50 bucks a month, Yeah I know shocking. On Syrup which I can’t only blame dad on we ate throw a bottle every 2 weeks to every month. Forget about Olives and other things. Well we decided to give Sam Club a try, we needed to do something.
We buy one big box of cereal for dad once or maybe twice a month depends on who helping him eat it. We get a package of olives and it last a while, and other things. So some thing I decide I would get there because I would rather spend a money right away and not buy for 3 months then buy every other week to month and something once a week. We have ended up saving money, and getting other things from Sam Club like our Blue ray DVD player after the first on was defective and the place we got it did not have it.
One thing I would like to see if they have is a digital frame, that could be a cool gift for someone.
Lets see overall I am happy with my membership. There are some downsides to Sam club. For the most I can find help when I need it but it is challenging. Usually their staff are not as knowledgeable as you’d like them to be in electronics but they do try.. For the most we have been treated pretty great. They will not do price matching not even with Wal-Mart which you’d think they could or their prices would be the same, because if I am not mistaken don’t Wal-Mart own Sams or the other way around.

Yesterday I had to stop for groceries, or it would have been difficult to feed the family. I was running a fever and dad wanted to go out for breakfast to make it easier on me. Well I wasn’t going to argue with him about that. I figure I had to go out for my inhaler anyways so I might as well get the shopping I need done, done and pick of my prescription. The only thing I didn’t try to do was get life insurance rates by the time I got home I felt like death warmed over.
I have to say it seems like I never found the orange juice there, and I was looking for it. It seems that each cub food has a different layout. I found everything else I wanted, except the bison roast and the orange juice. Bye the time I was done in there I was tired, and feeling a lot worst. The cashier did a good job of getting us through the lines, at least they had more people checking out people then Target did. I needed a couple things from there, like Toilet paper the men don’t wanna use newspaper neither do I.

It has been about 1 year since we have been with State Farm Insurance. I am very please with them, and how they have treated my husband and I. Hubby found our agent through one of those insurance online qout pages, and State farm had the best deal. Well I was worried that our insurance would go up because of being with them a year, and me having a newer car. Our insurance went up when I got the new car, but it seems it dropped a couple of bucks over the last few months.
Why do I like State Farm, our agent was willing to tell dad he could no longer drive because it wasn’t safe for him. That they would not insure him because of his memory, vision, and hearing troubles. I was surprised he was willing to do that, and I told him so, and he said something along the lines of he can be mad at me and save you guys. It was nice he thought about the whole family and the stress it would cause us to have to tell dad no more driving. We could tell him the insurance company says no insurance for him. Before State Farm dad agent had told us to let dad have an accident and get him a junker car, this made my husband very unhappy with the company, and we decide it wasn’t worth staying. We felt dad life was not valued the way it aught to be. I told our agent about that conversation, and we chalked it up to the other company just wanted money.
So its been a year when normally rates go up and its still the same price or maybe a little less when you count the fact that I was in a old car and now in a newer one. I do not think we will find a new insurance company.

On Friday night we take dad out to dinner every week. It gives him something to look forward to. Thank goodness that Don Pablos menu is big enough to make it have great choices so it does not get old quickly. Dad ordered his usual 2 beef tacos, hubby order the bbq chicken and I order chicken rellios and a cheese onion enchalada. Sorry can’t spell them. We had a young man as our waiter he did pretty good at taking care of us.
I have noticed I always order for dad, I feel bad doing it because I bet sometimes he feels like a kid but at Don pablos it very loud and dad doesn’t hear well to begin with. Well dad always like it there, and he eats all his food. I was the only one with lift over, but that normal sometimes.

Our year membership is almost over, and we are planning on renewing it. Tonight hubby and I went in to grab dad his spoon fulls, and me I decided to find some bras, they don’t have much selection but I found a package of 3 sport bras, for a little under 10$, and we took a quick look at someindustrial products along with music players and the little mini laptops for hubby. Boy those things have some serious battery life, let me tell you. Now we did see an Acer which battery life sucked worst them my Toshiba Laptop, which I think might actually last long and is bigger then it. Oh well, we didn’t buy anything tonight that hubby wanted to look at. I would like to see him get into a nice little laptop so he can spend time out here with me, when he wants to work on his computer.
Well we got to Sam club to night and I have to say their door people who greet some of them need to find another line of work. Very rude and almost pushy, but this one tonight wasn’t as bad. The gentleman who helped with the computer question was a Apple user, so he didn’t have much knowledge about PC stuff, but he was nice, and pleasant. But I hate to say this selling computers wouldn’t be a strong point, now if they had apple I bet he could get those sold pretty easily.
The cashier called me daddies little girl, because I have dad account and told him one cards dad and the other mine. What he doesn’t understand is daddy little girl is daddy little caregiver, who responsible for his well-being and if I am not careful, daddy little girl could get into a lot of trouble.
It’s important I keep dad and my account separate, sometimes it hard because we have the same bank, so the stupid cards are the exact same color, so I don’t get to just hand them a card and not worry about it. I’ve bounce my account many times the this year.

Today I told hubby I wanted to go out for Indian food. We went to Surabhi near us. It was pretty good. I will say their menu is almost overwhelming and hubby and I are not sure how the cook can keep up with the menu. It is a very big menu, now that being said they seemed to handle the menu great and our dinner was served to us hot and in a timely manner. Hubby had some chicken dinner, and I had Lamb. I was surprised at the cuts of lamb I got it was great.
The lamb was pretty tender and well seasoned and I know lamb is a meat if not seasoned correctly can taste bad and like hair loss click here to learn more about that. The only thing I have to say about the lamb it was a little bit on the dry side and I would have liked it a little less done, but that being said it was still yummy. I was happy with my dinner. It looked pleasant. They provided a lemon and I squezed it over the meat and it added a very nice flavor. It was seasoned perfectly for me, now I am not a big spice or seasoning fan, but this was seasoned good you could tell it was met.
I had something interesting for desert, it seemed to be drowned in a honey sauce and looked similar to a donuts whole. I think this was my favorite thing. I don’t know why but I liked it.
I tried some of hubby chicken it was medium spicy, it was good and wasn’t so spicy I couldn’t handle it. The most spicy thing was a dip they gave us with that fried bread thing that tastes like a potato chip at least that what it reminds hubby and I of. That was good, I didn’t care about the dipping sauce they gave us.
Customer service was great at one point in time I think we had 2 different people helping us and making sure we got what we needed, it went well because it seemed everyone worked in unity. Customer service was very good, and they where kind. Now if I can just remember that they do not serve Beef or pork products, I could stop asking and look stupid. I am so used to having to say I am allergic to Pork so make sure it not there, but Indians do not eat pork, they don’t eat beef neither, so I can eat what I want. Maybe one time I will try goat and see how it reacts to me.
I hope hubby and I can go back there again soon. We took dad there once and haven’t been back, because dad didn’t like it that much. Dad doesn’t like anything good. So it was nice for a change of pace. The serving sizes are large, so I was able to take some home for lunch this week which is nice.

This weekend was my grandma birthday and I decided it would be nice to send her some flowers from 1800flowers.com. I spend 69. on the flowers, it was nice and had a bear that went with it. Well, they sent me conformation telling me it was on the delivery truck but not that it was delivered. They are lucky Grandma has honest neighbors or she might not have gotten her flowers and I would have been very mad, and not just disappointed.
What I liked about flowers.com is I was able to order granny her birthday present and get it there the next day with out being charge additional fees. I was happy about that. I was happy I got conformation in my email telling me it was on the truck. Okay this is good. Well Grandma called me later that night. She said it was beautiful, so I am happy with the quality they gave.
What I do not appreciate even though I put on the mailing slip it was going to an Apartment building, Grandma is 83 years old. I didn’t have her security code but I do know that it’s on the wall from the last time I visited grandma. I am just relieved it was delivered the rest of the way by one of her younger neighbors, I believe it’s a retirement community.
So what I would have liked seeing is them calling grandma or calling her home phone number to let her know there was something at the front door for her.
At least I didn’t have to match her flowers with her kitchen floortiles, like some people I know that everything has to match perfectly up to the ceiling.

My leg still hurts, and I am still limping around, I slide on ice in the parking lot. Hubby and I stopped to pick up some cat food and a couple of other things we needed. The target is a super target. I needed to pick up some body soap, and should have look for acne solutions and chocolate. We got our stuff and checked out. It didn’t take to long but we kind of walked around in there for a while. I looked at the electric cat litters the ones which clean up the cat litter on it own. I couldn’t believe the darn cost near 100$. But we did find a cat litter box we like hopefully the dog won’t be able to get into it and eat the poop out of it.
I haven’t got it yet but I will be getting it my next paycheck. Checking out went smoothly.

This weekend Hubby and I went to Boards Books, because I needed a book for reading. I haven’t gotten my normal emails from them, which I normally get an email every week with deals. Not this week, oh well. Something happened that normally doesn’t happen the cashier told us that we had a 30% off special and that it was applied to the book. Oh good I didn’t know that but I will take it happily. I love going to boarders and finding good books for reading. Sometimes I have been advised on what book is good and boy normally they have been right on target which is important to me. If I am going to read aphentermine reviews I want it to have what I want.
We walked out with 3 paper back books and I told hubby they aught to last for 2 weeks, or so. There is one book I want to get but it’s so short that I feel I need to get other books with it.

Yesterday, Dad and I decided we would go to Wal-Mart, to get some gifts for his grandchildren up here, and we decided hubby and I would get them something too, we know Christmas is important to them even though we do not celebrate it. For the eldest grand child we wanted to get some fishing supplies, man it sucked over there there was no fishing supplies, none at all. There sporting section sucked, and had nothing. They didn’t really have anything for sporting good. I was disappointed to say the least. Ever since the remodel there not as much good stuff there, there’s stuff it’s still a good store, but it’s hard to adjust to the fact they no longer have items, I sometimes would get from there.
It was fairly picked over, so dad and I had to go to another store. I didn’t want to travel out to the super Wal-mart because it was a small drive, but with traffic being like it was on the highways to get there, I simply did not want to waste my time trying to get there. Plus I knew a snow storm was moving in, and I didn’t want to get caught down there when it came in. We got nothing we needed that trip not even the office supplies I wanted oh well. I should have probably look at their options for chairs, I need to replace about 4 chairs for the dining room table, maybe I can find something which matches up well.
