  • Motel 6 in Pendleton OR

We stopped to visit my mom and sister in Pendleton Or on Thursday. We decided to stay at Motel 6 with my sister recommendation. I have to admit I didn’t like this hotel, but at least they didn’t have fleas! Yeah we get back to that later! The rooms where clean for the most.. Lets see what did we not like. The beds I dont think they was queen maybe full…. All I know my husband and I barely fit on one bed. We are not little people but we not extra large neither well maybe my husband is but that besides the point.
The room was so tiny. Had it just been my husband and I with out dad it would have been okay we could have slept in different beds. They where not pet friendly at all they didn’t want the animals unattended while in the room. The dog stayed at Mom’s and the cat stayed there at the hotel I wasn’t about to keep moving Otis about to have otis sit in the car or terrorize my cat.
Motel 6 was cheap they do charge to use their WiFi connection, but it is fast and the pass code works for 24 hours so I guess it’s okay. I will need to look at custom car floor mat for my kia after this week on the road the poor thing is a miss.
So lets see I will probably end up staying at Motel 6 again if that the only one I can find that animal friendly.

  • Howard Johnson In Spokane WA

I will have to say for the problems our hotel staff faced they did great. I will visit this hotel again if I need one in Spokane area. We checked in and they gave us a room easy to get to. The hostess who check us in was helpful and friendly. They did not mind the dog being left in the room while we ran out to dinner. When i asked about getting laundry done she offered me the key to get it done. She was helpful.
The biggest problem with this hotel was the internet went down. I and a couple of other guest try to help her get it back up and running but I think the storm and wild fires around had other plans for us that night. So I had to go for 2 nights of not checking my accounts. I have internet on my phone so I check my emails that way.
Even with the internet being down our stay went good.. They had a nice size frig and microwave in the rooms. This made things a little easier.
The room was clean. I will say the beds were not the most comfortable but we sleep good there too. Breakfast here was good.. I had a orange, banana and oatmeal. I believe this was the best breakfast ever last week.
I would recommend this hotel to any one who is traveling through Spokane. Lets see the internet before it went down worked good and was fairly fast.

Our stay at Quality Inn was okay. For a hotel that claimed to be pet friendly it didn’t really seem that pet friendly. I believe it more of a issue of the person trying to be helpful but not understanding that going in and visiting the dog would make her talk once she lift I am not sure. My husband felt she had a bad attitude, and over exaggerated the issues with the dog. I know Shadow does bark. They did not want us leaving the dog there by it’s self and we needed to eat so the person offer to babysit the dog. We let her. It was to warm for the dog or cat in the car. We put the cat in the room knowing he would be quiet for the most, but the dog we knew would cry once we left her.
The internet was as slow as molasses on a cold winter day. My husband kept at it and I just got fed up with trying to get to Yahoo mail and my bank accounts. It was frustrating, maybe it had something to do with storms and wild fires. I don’t know that all I can guess. I just say the internet was a let down.
There was not much I could eat for breakfast, so that was a let down to. However we did go down late, and they still got us taken care of for the most.
I would say overall our stay was okay. I will say I am not sure I would recommend this hotel if you need good internet connection or something. The cost is fair. The rooms are clean and the beds where good. It’s a good place to sleep at and more comfortable then a Nolan N104 for sleeping.
It was a good hotel for sleeping, but internet wasn’t good. They did have a full house. If I need to will I stay there again. Probably if they have the best prices and accept dogs. I will just change how I handle my stay.

  • Washington INN in Keystone MT

I will have to say I was a little disappointed. I’d like to know what happened to our view and a room on the first floor. At least they had a elevator for us to use. I will say one thing that was a plus they had the carts for moving all our luggage into the room. This made taking the stuff up to the room a lot smoother. I was able to haul everything in one load so that made things faster and I was able to get to the pets needs easier.
Everyday this week has been hot, and kind of hard to travel with pets. I will say the weather other then hot has been great. There hasn’t been any rains.
The customer service at Washington INN was okay, I wouldn’t say it was perfect but it wasn’t to bad. The rooms were clean and the beds where not the best to sleep in. The internet was pretty good. It was about normal for wifi. I don’t have any real complaints about the internet. For the most the hotel was quiet.
What we didn’t like about the hotel the shower was not exactly safe for dad to go into, and they put us on third floor even though I requested first floor because of dad. Now they had a elevator but our room was pretty far away.
An other problem is I got ate by something, I am not sure if it was in the room or outside walking the dog in a more unlite area but I am still very itchy on my feet and legs. So I am not sure what happened there. Oh well. For a hotel that allows pets they don’t have many places for the pets to go potty outside. I had to walk shadow a bit to find her grass to do business on.
The staff their seemed fairly nice.

  • No I am not gonna pay

    Posted on by Gav

Let me explain what I mean by “No I am not gonna pay”, I called T-mobile. My bill is due on the 28th of this month. I am moving to Oregon on Sunday, and driving out there. Okay not a big deal right. I figured if I called them and had them put in my notes I would pay the Cellphone bill on the 3rd of Sept it be fine. I am current and actually have about a buck of a credit. So you’d think to get them to extend my payment that they could go out till the third with out charging me 26$. Why do I want to pay you that now when I am trying to make sure I have enough money in my accounts and not be pulled to tight.
Okay, I know I have enough money, but what if something happens, I pay them their money it could really cause me trouble. I don’t think anything will happen, I believe we will arrive safely. My husband has some kind of GPS on his phone so we can figure things out if needed, I never knew they had gps systems for golf. What do they need help finding where the ball landed probably.
So the lady was telling me I had to pay them money when I had a credit on my account hmm, why do I want to do that there’s a credit on the account. So I don’t think I need to pay for that. Oh well, I guess I will call them on the 25th and ask for a extension.

I have to say I am not upset with Associated bank for stopping my credit card over the forth of July weekend. I haven’t had much time to write, I been very busy. I am know in my graduate program, I am a straight A student and I am sure anyone who been reading my blog can guess why. Well, I went to target and was told the card wouldn’t go through I said money just been put into that account. My husband pulled up the joint account on his cellphone and we found out why. The bank suspended the credit card, because of a suspicious transaction in Tokyo Japan. Okay we have never been there and as far as I know never plan to go. I never purchase anything in a foreign country neither especially if I can get it from Amazon or Best Buy, I will purchase it from here.
I called customer service and told them that that transaction was not mine. I think the call center had to be in steel buildings because there was a lot of background noise. They told me I needed to file a dispute, and either they could send me it or I could pick one up at the bank. I choose to go in Tuesday. We went into the bank and they helped us, but the banker didn’t really know what I was supposed to mark. Well we finally got it done and was able to figure it out. The bank credited my account so no harm.

  • GodFather’s Pizza

    Posted on by Gav

Last night my husband and I went to Godfathers in Burnsville MN, we decided to give them a try after a friend of mine told me they have gluten-free pizza. We figured it be good to try it out. We called before going, I was shocked to learn that their gluten-free pizza was shipped in and frozen. So I just bought a frozen pizza for them to make me, oh well at least it tasted better then I thought it would taste. The staff there were very helpful and understood their products and what I could or could not have. They also had a sign on my pizza instruction servers and cooks not to cross contaminate it with other stuff. I was glad I didn’t need any breakdown service after eating there, it been awhile since I been able to have pizza out to eat. There’s only one other place and yes I prefer the other place but GodFathers Pizza is okay. It didn’t have a fresh pizza taste, but it tasted better then the store bought pizzas I can have that I do not much care for.

My husband and dad were happy with their pizza too.
I was disappointed that I only got a one option which worked for me which was cheese, I couldn’t get the veggie type pizza because they only offered Pizzas with meats or cheese pizza so I stuck with a cheese pizza. This was disappointing but the service was good. I hope Godfather comes up with more gluten-free options and maybe eventually make the dough fresh in store and not frozen form Goodness knows where.

  • Yahoo call center

Well I had to call Yahoo this week. Some how I got locked out of my email account, not sure what happened but I couldn’t get back in. I have most of my important communication in that email, school, apartment rental stuff, and other things, not to mention letters from family and friends. Well I was surprised that they are not open later during the day, or evening hours. I had to call them back the next day. I waited for about a half hour before the phone was answered. Oh well they did say it be a long wait, and I needed into my email account!
My laser printers wasn’t going to get the trick done so I needed to speak to them to get it back working.
I tried to get it to work on line, but it kept telling me my passwords and my security question where not right. Huh what you mean not right! Ugh I need my email, I talking to someone through email for homework and now I can’t get there. Boy was I frustrated. Well the next day I got through and was helped.
The customer service person was helpful and reassured me my email account was safe, and it was a glitch on their system. She wasn’t sure what happened but their system decided it didn’t like my email that I have had for the last five years. I am back in my account and honestly didn’t miss anything. She did a good job at reopening my account and accepting my answers even though I was like I am not sure what I used because I became confused with my security question on line when they said it was wrong.

  • Third set of books safely arrived

    Posted on by Gav

I been ordering my textbooks from Amazon.com, I try to order at least two weeks before my classes begin. This is the third time I have ordered my textbook from Amazon.com I am happy I did this, because I normally find good deals on Amazon, and do not need to worry about the barcode scanner not scanning what I books. I ordered my books late last week and already got my books from amazon. I am surprised because it wasn’t even 3 days before I got the books.
I am very happy with Amazon and will continue getting my textbooks this way.

  • Target Pharmacist on Penn Ave

    Posted on by Gav

Monday night I had to stop at the pharmacist on Penn Ave in Richfield Mn. I needed to pick up an antibiotic for my abscessed tooth. I was surprised they almost had my prescription done, I only had to wait a little while. They answered my questions and told me how to take the meds if my stomach got upset. I had been on it in the past. I am glad we use Target Pharmacy here, and I know when we move to Oregon it be easy enough to transfer our information down to the new pharmacist. It nice because I can get things I need like my printer ink, so i can do some printing for less, or yogurt or batteries or what ever in the same trip makes life a little easier.
