  • Strawberry Smoother body Butter by Softsoap

Smell good is what I can say at first thought. So far the only soap that seems to work well for me is Softsaop products I do not break out to often from it. The strawberry smoother is like invitations to a nice little scrub down. It seems good, I can’t say it adds moisture to my skin. It leaves a nice mild scent after bathing with it so it nice. It is not to strong but there a small after smell which is nice.
The only thing i do not like is the bottle, you can never use all the soap in these bottles and placing them upside down always seems to end up in a messy mess.

  • Penzeys Spices in Happy Valley

    Posted on by Gav

I am so happy to see a Penzey here in Oregon, we had found Penzeys in MN and didn’t think they would be here. We found out shortly after we moved in that yes there is one. Penzeys spices now will be easier to get then ipod nano accessories for my husband and I just because the store is closer to us. The staff at Penzey’s have been knowledgeable and helpful for the most. I was able to find out all of their spices are gluten free except for one item. So hey if you need gluten free spices this place just might work. I might be able to try their ranch but kind of scared to because I always have reacted negatively to most ranch dressings.

We ended up getting two different spices. Old World and BBQ3000 which are two of my favorite spices. I can get some spices for my sauces from there too. I am so happy because they have good spice and are small enough to be able to talk to people. I like the mom and pop shops. I didn’t know until recently all of spenzeys spices are gluten free which makes it a lot easier because some manufactures do add wheat by products into their spices which is stupid.

  • Quality Inn in Livingston MT

    Posted on by Gav

Our stay at Quality Inn was okay. For a hotel that claimed to be pet friendly it didn’t really seem that pet friendly. I believe it more of a issue of the person trying to be helpful but not understanding that going in and visiting the dog would make her talk once she lift I am not sure. My husband felt she had a bad attitude, and over exaggerated the issues with the dog. I know Shadow does bark. They did not want us leaving the dog there by it’s self and we needed to eat so the person offer to babysit the dog. We let her. It was to warm for the dog or cat in the car. We put the cat in the room knowing he would be quiet for the most, but the dog we knew would cry once we left her.
The internet was as slow as molasses on a cold winter day. My husband kept at it and I just got fed up with trying to get to Yahoo mail and my bank accounts. It was frustrating, maybe it had something to do with storms and wild fires. I don’t know that all I can guess. I just say the internet was a let down.
There was not much I could eat for breakfast, so that was a let down to. However we did go down late, and they still got us taken care of for the most.
I would say overall our stay was okay. I will say I am not sure I would recommend this hotel if you need good internet connection or something. The cost is fair. The rooms are clean and the beds where good. It’s a good place to sleep at and more comfortable then a Nolan N104 for sleeping.
It was a good hotel for sleeping, but internet wasn’t good. They did have a full house. If I need to will I stay there again. Probably if they have the best prices and accept dogs. I will just change how I handle my stay.

  • Third set of books safely arrived

    Posted on by Gav

I been ordering my textbooks from Amazon.com, I try to order at least two weeks before my classes begin. This is the third time I have ordered my textbook from Amazon.com I am happy I did this, because I normally find good deals on Amazon, and do not need to worry about the barcode scanner not scanning what I books. I ordered my books late last week and already got my books from amazon. I am surprised because it wasn’t even 3 days before I got the books.
I am very happy with Amazon and will continue getting my textbooks this way.

  • Vensus 5 Razer

I do not understand why they are so expensive for the refills, when I can purchase the razer and 1 other blade for half the price almost. I should look at the polaris rzr accessories see if I can get something for dad this year for his birthday. Not sure, he always asking for a new razer but he does not always use them. He waits till his face hair is to long to work well with his electric razer. I recently seen more woman electric razer too, maybe I ought to look at it. I like venus razers don’t get me wrong they work nicely and I haven’t gotten any cuts.

  • Neewer

    Posted on by Gav

I can not complain I spent under 5$ on this thing and that includes shipping and handling. I have to say I think this is the best 5$ I have ever spent, and no Dutch Master would be as good on my 5$. Bet your wondering what a Neewer is, it a wireless adapter for the IPod.
Lets see if works pretty good once you set it to the radio. The only problem is, is setting it to a non radio frequency. Once you find your setting it is good. The adapter can be wireless or plugged in to charge the IPod which helps when needed. This is be a very good item when my husband, his dad and I move to Oregon.
One problem I have noticed is that the stupid charger thing needs to be plugged into, or when I move my foot to the break I get some static in the music. Well, I will have to use it that way and be happy. This was well worth it and I am happy so far with it.

  • Ally bank

    Posted on by Gav

My husband and I have decided to try Ally bank. I have decided to put my money from taxes in that account. We needed a new account because of moving to Oregon this summer. In August we will be on our way to Oregon. Lately our current bank has been causing me issues. Even though I have money in my account they have stopped payments or blocked them until I call the bank. I can not tell you how embarrassing that is especially when you transfered money into the account to cover it and even if the deposit wasn’t posted yet I have overdraft protection. We got worried about being on the road traveling through the country and suddenly not being allowed to gain access to our money. My husband found Ally bank. They are a online bank.
Right now we both have a money market account which is a saving account with checks. The problem with this type of account I can only use it 6 times a month, deposits do not count. Maybe I should see if they also have life insurance rates like my current bank. I am hoping that Ally does not do what my bank has done to me. The Money in there will replace the furniture we are leaving behind and other items we will not be able to take with us.
So far I am happy with Ally, hopefully this proves to be a good idea on my hubby part.

  • Minnesota SeaLife Aquarium

Yesterday one of my friends took me out to lunch and to SeaLife. We decided to do the tour also, which was great. It was interesting to see the dead sea life they have kept and preserved. I learned that a Octopus can lift 40times it wait. Wow that a lot of wait, if it only ways 1 pound it could pick up 40 pounds which is about the size of a large toddler. We saw their holding tank and how they where trying to help a couple of turtles who got their shells damaged, poor things can’t swim right so they need weight on their backs. Our tour guide was awesome, it was just my friend and I in the tour. Then we went down to the tanks and I took some pictures of the fish. There was one fish who lips liked like humans lips I do not think I got a good picture of it. We also went to their gift store and it was nice, I could have bought a baby gifts if I needed to there. I had a fun experience yesterday and it was worth it. I will miss my friend when we move away.

  • Ugh Back in again

    Posted on by Gav

Okay I am frustrated! I have now had to take my laptop in 3 times in less then 3 months. Everytime I leave the laptop on it like for a virus scan or because I am playing my game that on line and I am in a party trying to help them stay Perfect. No I will not explain what a perfect party is my friends in Shayia will now what I am talking about, but it causes them to lose a me and have to find one, and cause me lose experience. This doesn’t talk about making sure my computer stays clear from virus as a bigger problem. I don’t even dare to do home work on it because if I have to walk away for a few minutes I might lose everything I worked hard on. I have a Toshiba, I have been very happy with my laptop up until the last few months, and now I am seriously thinking about trying Sony.
I can handle the laptop running hot and needing acne treatment products on my leg where I got burned. Yeah ouch, but putting a cool on it, has helped a lot. So I wonder how long Best Buy gonna keep it will it be a week a month. My warranty ends in a week, so i need to bring it in.

  • Bed & Bath works at MOA

    Posted on by Gav

Well they raised the prices again on stuff, oh well. I hardly ever go in Bed & Bath works, but I needed to get dad some salts, and i wanted to get me a body scrub. I think my family could really use Branson vacation packages and get some time away from home. Dad been using my bath salts, and I decided since he liked them to get him his own would be nice for him. Normally the scents in places like bed & bath are overpowering, today it wasn’t to bad till I decided to try something. I think every time I go in there they have a sale.
I appreciated that today they allow me and my friend to look around and show us what I had asked for. The person who helped me let me know some of the salts they were out of.
