Well I do not know what the critics problem with this movie is, but I enjoyed it. It was a nice movie, and no strikes too. There are some sense which aren’t suitable for children but I think 13+ is good maybe even younger. There was one slightly racy scene but they even kept that clean too. It wasn’t to inappropriate for this day and age. I will say the maker of this movie had some good red herrings in it. The girl in the movie is related to a werewolf who killed someone in the town after many years of not killing anyone in it. The girl could talk the werewolf so this caused her some issues in the movie. I will just say it was a enjoyable movie, and I recommend it for a nice date night with your husband or boyfriend.

I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised tonight. My husband and I decided to go and see ” I am number 4″. I am so happy the movie was so enjoyable, and was asensa reviews. The movie is based on a book, I am not sure how closely related to the book it is, but I think I found a new book I want to read. There was no language in the movie, there where a few scary scenes but nothing major. Scary is the wrong word, but it will work. I would recommend this for most audiences about 10 years old for boys.
The movie is about a young man from another place who has to save himself and those like him. The most disturbing part of the movie was the reaction he had when someone like him died. This was a good movie.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1

Last weekend my husband and I went to see Harry Potter. We enjoyed it. I was surprised how many people where there for it. Our movie theater normally is not busy. We got there about a hour before Harry Potter was starting on the big screen, and there was already a long line. I think I can think of 2 other times where there was lines for movies, so it not a very busy theater.
There are a couple sad scenes in the movie. I would say this movie is move of a struggle against good and evil which all of Harry Potter is a battle between good and evil. There was one part of the movie I had a issue with because I felt it was to revealing, for young views. I do not feel it was to revealing for kids who grew up with it because most of them are probably mature enough to handle it, but the new young views who are under 12 years old, I think it was to much. I do not think this movie is for young viewers even though I saw a few young viewers. It was a good movie and had the right amount of suspense. It was close to the book, but there are some parts of the book that I am not sure it happened that way. I will need to reread the book again I think.
My husband and I both agreed that the franchise did a good job at upsetting people over the death of a puppet. They did pick some beautiful sceneries for some of the scenes. I am pretty sure none of the boys in the movie need to worry about the best products for hair loss. All I know is I am excited for the last part of the book to come out. I think they did a good job dividing the book up. This is a good movie for family entertainment.

Flipped

This weekend my husband and I watched a movie, normally I do not like watching movies. I would rather do something else with our time, my husband on the other hand loves moves and entertainment of the like. We saw Flipped, based on a couple of kids from grade school through Jr. High school. I will say the little girl did not look anything like the jr. high school girl. Now they where to young to need the best eye wrinkle cream. I thought this movie was very nice, it showed the girl and the boy perspective, while at the same time showed what it was like in a different time. I am thinking the time frame of the movie was supposed to be in the 50′s or maybe the 60′s. The girl had a mentally handicapped uncle who her family was providing the care for, while at the same time not having enough to take care of things, so their neighbor thought bad of them. The girl never met the uncle until later in the movie so the main part was about the 2 kids, and their life. What it was like for them. I would recommend this movie it is good and nice. There was one time where the language shocked my hubby and I but that was it.

Good Intentions

My hubby and I watched a movie tonight when we got back, it was Good Intentions. I will have to say I didn’t pay a whole lot attention to it. I thought it was pretty good. The language wasn’t to harsh and it had a okay plot. The guys wife kept deciding to rob her husband or something. I do not know many woman who would keep robbing the same person but you know some criminals are dumb as door nails.
It must not have been entertaining enough since I don’t recall a whole lot about it. Oh well.. I was doing other things while watching it. I think it seemed like a good movie if I wasn’t looking for the best weight loss diet pills on market for some one. My husband seemed to enjoy it, so I guess thats what really counts, if he likes it.

Lovely Bones

Last night was movie night, hubby likes movies a lot, I am not one who likes it but I will go with him. Just to make him happy, funny he hardly goes hiking with me to make me happy, maybe this summer I am going to be get deet on and lets go do something I enjoy. But lets do a KVM switch back to the movie, Lovely Bones. My hubby told me one the way home that the director of this movie was the same one who did Lord of the Rings, and he hasn’t done much since done, he started and stop projects. Well I think I know why he hasn’t done much since Lord of the Rings, because not many good movies have came out, he does well at picking good movies with out a bunch of language and violent scenes are done tastefully or as tasteful as possible.
Lovely Bones was about a 14 yr old girl who was murdered by her neighbor, I guess he enjoyed killing people. She was involved in school and the typical well behaved child, who sometimes didn’t get along with her parents, but it seemed she had a better relationship them most children her age. Well neighbor guy built a trap but I won’t say where or what kind of trap and got her done there. The scene lift your imagination to figure out what exactly happened to her, but you knew he killed her. I will say here heaven is nothing like the real heaven. I don’t think G-d would make a murder victim have to meet all the people he killed in the way they was killed. But it was still good. It was sad in some places.
She had to pick between revenge on the guy or healing for her family, this would be hard to choose from because being murdered is a great violation to the person and I think most would want revenge for a time. I know I probably would, but in the movie it showed that revenge wasn’t hers. In a way I am glad it showed this, because so many Hollywood movies are about gaining the revenge and having no consequences.
I will have to say that this is the best movie I have ever seen in this type of movie. It was done tastefully. In the end when his other victims where given names, and faces it was done tastefully and you learned exactly what kind of murder he was. I will admit my husband and I both felt more revenge then what the guy got in the end would have been nice or seeing what some of his death was like would have been nice, but honestly the movie was not about what he deserve but more of the story of the child family.
I would not recommend this movie for young children. Seriously new parents stop bring your crying babies to movies find a sitter that what they are for.

Frank

Today my husband and I watch Frank. It was a good little movie at first I was worried it wouldn’t be that good of a movie because it has a slightly slow start. It about this family who goes on vacation to their summer house which they hadn’t been for a while. I guess the mother grew up on the island, it reminded me of a part of WA but I am not sure where it was. There was a animal on the loose causing trouble and damage, no one knew what it was and they did the assume it was some wild beast.
The father had some issues he was a net freak and when he clean he really played the role good. He fixed the kids toilet I wonder if it was a spring plungers.
There was 2 kids in the family, and at first they didn’t want to be on this island until they found the ugly dog. They ended up moving to the island because of the dog, which was sweet but like any family going to really do that. The dog favorite pass time was chewing up the dads slippers.
I would recommend this movie for families, it had no language.

Star Trek

There are very few movies I enjoy and wouldn’t mind seeing it twice in the theater, just don’t tell my hubby this. Ops I guess he might figure it out since he reads my blogs sometimes. Yesterday we went to Star Trek, to be honest we were a little worried about going because lately our enjoyment of movies in the theater hasn’t been enough, many movies we have walked out of feeling annoyed and like it just wasn’t that good to see. Hubby and I decided to try this weekend and were worried we might end up having to walk out because many producers or directors decide bad language gets the message across better then anything else, when it doesn’t really work.
I do not think there was a boring moment in Trek, it was really good and entertianing. I thought the spin they took on the story was cool and interesting, it worked well, it wasn’t like they were trying to copy the orginal Star Trek, and their ideas come off interesting.
I would not recommend this for young children but teenagers with parents would be okay there is some language and some other things for a bit of older group with out parents. It wasn’t gory or anything even though they had a lot of action, there were a few intense places but not at all over the top. I think Spok character was good along with Kirk, and the twist on the story was cool. There was a few funny parts, like when Kirk was talking a test eating a apple it seemed so unreal but it was funny. Overall I thought the graphics were great, and how they did the history was interesting.
I wounder if we will ever be able to get background check as quickly was they were able to in Star Trek just a couple of minutes and have all the info you could want on a person, boy something like that could save families of elders many headaches.

Watchmen

I have to say I am one of those who hated it, so did my husband. To be honest we were very disappointed in this movie and Marvel Works. My husband and I walked out within a hour of the movie, which is not good odds. My husband and I wanted to see it, now we regret it. When we told the staff at the threater we didn’t like it at all, they said it’s one of those were people either hate it or love it.
I think my hubby and I had more trouble with the language then anything else. As with every movie we don’t like their are some good parts, what those are I am not sure. This movie was set in the cold war, and I guess Nixon was supposed to have many more terms then allowed to any president, so most of the furniture looked from that time.There was some violent part but I think for the most they handled it okay for the most.
I wouldn’t recommend this as a good family movie, because of the language and voilence in it. I would say under 17 shouldn’t be watching it with out a parent.

An American Carol

I will say my husband and I have two different taste in comedies. This one I didn’t like much, good thing I was doing my homework while watching it. It wasn’t horrible but it wasn’t my type of movie.
At first it seems more of a insult on conservative people, but in the end it more toward the liberal sect of the United States.
What I dislike is they didn’t use anyone from middle eastern descent which they should of, and they where kind of insulting toward them. Plus I didn’t like the fact that it seemed they where just picking on them during the whole movie. Okay yes we have been terrorized but that doesn’t mean every single muslim is a terrorist. Yes I agree we have forgot about 9/11 and I believe our President has forgotten about it and doesn’t understand what has happened there, or at least he doesn’t act like it. 9/11 is something many Americans have forgotten about, and we aren’t as safe as we think we are, that something we learned than, well maybe some of us learned it. Personally I wouldn’t want to talk to terrorist with out some type of agreement being made before hand. But that me…. I guess this movie is trying to show that.
One of my more favorite parts was when they had the angel of death come to Micheal in his dreams, kind of the christmas carol spin on it.
I personally wouldn’t have choice this movie for watching but my husband likes movie like this. There where no strikes in it which is good and that earns some points in my book. This movie does a good job at making fun of liberals who think we are all safe, I will give them points for that. I do not think this movie shines any light on anything of use to be honest maybe they should have gotten more discount lighting.
