Last night Hubby and I ate at Surabhi Indian cuisine on 98th st near Lyndale in Bloomington MN. I have to say I was very disappointed in our waiter he really missed the mark. My husband and I visit regularly we enjoy the food and its normally always pleasant. We were seated at a table, and our waiter took or drink orders that went just fine. When it was time to order the food that’s when it all fall apart. My husband and I share a meal, because their small portion is still too much for the both of us to eat. We could do one small portion for both of us but I always order the dinner portion. It’s plenty big enough for my husband and I and well about the same as eating out at a other restaurant. The waiter rolled his eyes, at us when we ordered the dinner, and told him we would share that.. He ignored us the whole time almost and avoided us every chance he got. Now I do not mind having my pop go empty this is not a big deal to me because I drink fast, my hubby on the other hand drinks slowly. When he needed, his pop refilled and tried to get the guys attention he turned his back on us, or went and cleaned another table although he clearly saw my hubby needed a refill. Then when it was time to check out he ignored us again and the owner had to come and complete the bills. I was not happy with this attitude. His attitude towards hubby and I sucked. Maybe he needs to find a new
local jobs that would better suit him.
The food was served hot and good. It tasted wonderful. We order lamb, which is amazing how strong spices don’t ruin the taste of it. It was well prepared.

Last night my husband and I wanted to try a restaurant we haven’t ate at before. We remember there was a restaurant in a nearby city, which a waitress recommended. We food it, and the food was so yummy, you don’t want to take any home, the place we went was Red Moon Chinese Buffet in Eden Prairie MN. The food tasted fresh and smelled good too.
Well we didn’t find it where we thought it was, so we called them for some direction. The guy didn’t sound too sure from where we were at but he got it right. He was very friendly and helpful. We got there and were seated.
I did my normal thing of let them know about the allergies before ordering. When I had told them I had pork allergies they had told me, I could have anything on their menu except for a couple of things or anything with pork included. I found out most of their dishes us chicken for lard. Eggrolls were the other thing I had to stay away from which was fine by me.
I had ordered the mild garlic chicken. Hubby had ordered the medium garlic chicken. The food took a little while to get out, but we was hungry so it probably felt longer then it really was to get out to us. When it did arrive, it was hot, not just hot but steaming hot, and oh my goodness it smelt yummy. You could smell the garlic and other fresh ingredients. The chicken I had was well prepared, and honestly even if I was looking for something to complain about I wasn’t going to find it with the food. The chickens was pleasantly tender. Hubby beef was done pleasantly too.
We started eating and the food was hot not spicy hot but hot. The mild hot garlic was just right for me. I am not a big fan of spicy you could taste the fresh garlic, and onions. It was good and this is my lunch today I can’t wait!
My hubby couldn’t stop talking about the food. We will probably be regular customers there. There food was good. It was hard to control our portion, both hubby and I are on diets.
The lighting in the place was good, it wasn’t Savoy house lighting but it worked. The restaurant looked clean, and the décor was not in a bad state. I liked the picture my hubby and I was seating under it was pretty. The service here was good and I would recommend them to anyone. The cost is fair for what they serve.

I will say this was a hard little place to find the first time, but we found it. We meet a couple of friends last night, and it was a good place to pick. I asked my normal questions because I am not just going to assume that they are like the location my husband and I go to weekly with Dad. It’s been a few months since we have been able to meet up with our friends and it was nice meeting them there. It was good going out with out dad with us too, the wife and I spoke some, and he and his friend spoke to I wonder if they might of talked about extenze or anything like it. His wife and I talked a little bit about having kids, (laughing) I told her if we had them at the same time they would be friends but my kids will find all the fun bugs to play with if they anything like me.
Dinner was good and our waiter did a great job at getting us what we needed or wanted. I ordered 3 enchilada, 2 tacos plate combo thing, and hubby had his chilli and they had fajitas. Everyone seemed happy with the service and food. I think the biggest problem was finding the place or how to get there because it visible from the high way but not exactly easy to get to

Tonight I didn’t feel like making dinner, I am simply not feeling well. This summer has been very bad for allergies. I needed to get some groceries and beverages for the family, so I had to go out. I would have much rather stayed home and slept but that wasn’t going to happen. Well we stopped at the store and picked up the grocery we needed, and because dad wanted a hamburger, I had suggested Apple Bees.
At first the waitress did good and was attentive, but suddenly it was like she dropped the ball somewhere. Here service wasn’t very good. What bugged me most is that when dad and hubby wanted a refill on a cherry limeaide she did not tell us there would be a additional charge. She had forgotten to bring my garlic bread with my dinner, and when she brought it out she only brought one tiny piece which last time I had the same dish I had 2 pieces. I do not know what happened between the first time and the second time where she took the order.
We paid for our bill and lift. We weren’t exactly very happy with the service there tonight but that okay we’ve had worst waitress.

The other day we decided to use a coupon my hubby got from Papa John’s pizza here in Bloomington. I ordered extra butter and dipping sauce they got the extra dipping sauce but not the butter. They actually gave me more dipping sauce then I wanted. I am not upset it happens sometimes, all I care about is did my pizza get her nice and hot. The pizza arrived hot and early, I was surprised when my phone rang. I had my blinds closed I wonder what wood blinds would look like, because I had my blinds closed I didn’t see him coming.
We ordered the thin crust pizza, and it was nice and crispy. It was hot and it tasted good, but not enough crust to dip in my garlic butter. It was good and I am glad we ordered out that night.

We ate at Douglas Lodge; I have to say that the building is impressive while the food wasn’t all that impressive to me. Now don’t get me wrong the food was good, we liked our meal their our waitress did a great job at taking care of us. We had a good experience there and the food tasted good. I guess the building made me expect something different then their menu had on it. Maybe some old style cooking, something you wouldn’t find in a everyday modern restaurant. The lodge was beautiful to look at, and it had a nice view outside where we sat. I ordered a Bison burger, which I was pleasantly surprised they had, I don’t get to eat that too often. I ordered my meat to be between medium to medium well.
Hubby had a French deep Sandwich, which looked like it was good. Hubby said the meat was tender and it was good. Dad had a burger with bacon and where did the cheese go. I have never seen a bacon burger without cheese. I do not eat bacon but I let dad eat what he wants, however I do let the waitstaff now about my allergy so they know not to handle dad food and then put mine right next to it. With all the food I been eating I need to think about looking into getting safe weight loss pills
The food here was good and recommended by a park employee, I am glad she recommended this little place. It was a pleasant place. The only thing I did not care for was the size of glasses they gave for water and pop. The drinking glasses were very small and good thing they gave us a server type jar to serve water.
The service there was good and it was a clean little place. I love the building it looked old, in a good way.

This post was wrote on vacation, and posted later. We stopped at Big Dipper for a lunch. I will say at first I was worried about what the quality of food would be and if it would be safe to eat there for me. I have food allergies so sometimes trying new things can be trying. We went in and we saw it was an ice cream shop that also served food. The reason why I was worried about the food is most places that specialize in ice cream aren’t going to make very good food. I do not like many places similar to this one. I will say it was a nice surprised. I was glad we found the place. I ordered a BBQ chicken sandwich, and fries. Hubby and Dad both ordered a roast beef sandwich; both hubby and I asked for our fries to be well done, and for dad fries tender. I let our waitress now right away, I was allergic to pork and asked if I would be safe eating there. She said I would be fine and she let the cook now.
She brought our lunches out to us, and my chicken sandwich looked very nice, and tasted just as good as it look. I was surprised how good it looked and tasted. I was not expecting this. Hubby like his roast beef said he liked how they gave him a chunk of meat and not thinly sliced it because this way he could tell he was getting a good cut of meat. The roast beef looked good and it appeared to be juicy. I am not sure if it was but hubby and dad both liked their sandwiches.
The food was served hot, and seemed fresh I am not sure, but the chicken didn’t taste frozen to me but I make frozen chicken all the time and not sure I can tell the different. The French fries were done well, Hubby and I would have preferred a little more cooked but they were close enough to being well done. All the food was served hot. The server did a good job taking care of our table. The restaurant was clean. I would recommend this little place to anyone traveling through Hackensack MN. At dinner I should have talked to my hubby about what he thought buy phentermine since he thinks he knows a lot of information that is useless.

Last weekend we went to Avalon twice with my granny it’s her favorite restaurant. Well we have been there often. I can not remember the last time they changed their decor. Now it’s not bad its still neat and well kept, so it’s not that big of a deal. I just hate the color of the chairs but that me personally. Avalon I would say it similar to how Dennys once was they have a bar at the front where you can order your food or you can be seated somewhere.
The wait staff all treat granny very well and she has her favorites. I petty the wait safe who get her and don’t know her, because granny has forgotten a new waitstaff might not know what she wants and may not ask her because they do not know she don’t like the veggies of the day. The owners know my granny well, and they treat her well. I have to say I was a little annoyed with one waitress, when she said my uncle should be living on his own and not with mom. Clearly she doesn’t see my uncle is delayed and can’t take care of his self and had it not been for granny having him live with her, he’d be in a home. She clearly doesnt see my granny is not doing well mentally or physically so with out my uncle living their nor would she be able to be on her own.. She can’t drive and hell she having a hard time getting her self dress. So that kindof bug me but the waitress was a sweet heart to and I am sure she meant no harm. She likes my granny and uncle and treats them well..
The portions were huge, my goodness you could have at least 2 meals if not three meals from there just on left overs. The food was served nice and hot, and tasted good. It is best here as a couple to share a meal. Dad had french toast, and even his meal was nice side but more of a single serving. Granny had shrimp platter my uncle had beef I can’t remember.. Normally granny makes him share what she wants to have, but I told her he gets to order what he wants, when I am down here. and then they could eat the left overs later form her. I wonder if Avalon would be found in Atlanta job search. The second day we went i ordered a fruit platter with Fruit hubby order soup. The fruit platter was the best fruit platter I have had for a restaurant. The cottage cheese tasted a little off.
Overall the experience was okay.. They took good care of Granny and know my granny and took time to know me and my family…Granny used to take me and my uncle there when I lived with them. We used to go often, and they still go there often. I am glad they are still in business. I wonder what their large portions are doing to their budget.

We stop for dinner last night at Great Wall Buffet. This was such a better experience then that one restaurant we went to a couple weeks ago. We normally pick the raw bar, it has always been very nice there. Everytime hubby and I go there we always leave feeling good about our experience there. I think the waiters are there just enough to be helpful and not to be annoying which can be a hard balance to work out. The cook at the raw bar does a great job at making sure everyone meat is fully cooked and tastes good.. I was impressed with how careful he was to make sure any frozen pieces of meat were fully cooked and if any stucked together that it was separated to cook it.
I had chicken, and veggies, then some of their sauces I love that I can pick which sauce I want and not have to have soy cooked in unless I want it to be. I mixed their garlic and something else can’t remember which it was, I didn’t put enough of the garlic sauce on. I like the fact they let you choose how much of certain ingredients you want to put into it.. It makes them cooking the meal closer to what the guest would like and not what they think is right. I will say this is my favorite Chinese restaurant. Hubby had beef and also noticed how careful the guy was to cook the meat fully.
I forgot to ask the cook to clean his circle grill and ended up breaking out again from food allergies. Wow talk about uncomfortable but that was my fault. I might need to look into acne scar creams for my legs and see if it works on some of my scars form a rash that I scratched a little to much. I took the my allergies meds and was fine. Sometimes my allergies to pork products just make me break out badly and sometimes it breaks me out in horrible itchy rash.. It could also be that I been eating way to much wheat products for my system to deal with.
Dad did not want to leave the restaurant I think this is his favorite place to stop at when we travel to Illinois. The price is also reasonable to feed a family of 3 adults.

Tonight hubby, dad and I all went to Fuddruckers for dinner dad wanted hamburger for dinner, and well I didn’t have anything to make that with at home. I didn’t really want to stop at the store, and we had a good night at the casino tonight so I didn’t see any harm in allowing dad to have his hamburger.
We decided to go to Fuddruckers off of 494 in Edina, or Richfield, I believe it Edina. At first I was a little worried how the service would be because I twisted my ankle in the handicap parking space because there was a bunch of rocks. Good thing dad was not on my side of the car, because he would have been hurt. I would have then been very unhappy. I went to the bartender and she didn’t seem to understand what I was telling her or the location of where. My husband went to the manager with the information. This problem was cleaned by the time we got back to our car which impressed me.
I ordered a bison burger for dad and I, and ordered it medium. It came to me wonderfully made, it was pleasantly juicy and cooked nicely. Now it took longer then what the manager had told us it would take, but I was anyways expecting it to take longer, because I let him know i have a pork allergy. He told his cook and caught the cook handling my burger right after handling pork. Instead of sending it out to me, he cleaned the grill, or something and made the burger his self which was considerate of him. I am glad he did this because sometimes my allergy to pork can get very bad, so it nice to know he was careful. It tasted wonderful too, a big changed from Friday night. In case any one was wondering if I ever right anything nice. I had onion rings and they where good too, I peel the breading off of about half of what I eat. I am very happy with the food there tonight. Dad said he loved it.
Hubby had a rib stake burger and said it was very good. He ordered it well done and it still came back to him pleasantly moist the way it should and he enjoyed that with his fries. They looked good but I am not a potato kind of girl. He said his good was very good and ate most of it. The portion on the onion and fries where generous and the burgers were yummy. They were served to us hot, and that was good.
I will have to say hubby and I will come again to Fudderuckers and have burgers probably not during dinner rush to make it easier on the cooks. The manager did a great job listening to any complaints or concerns to us. When he pasted us he apologize for the long wait and explained to us what had happened. I wasn’t worried why it took longer I just assumed it was because of my allergy and making sure not to cross contaminate me. We talked about some of our favorite shows that were cooking related so maybe he will watch them and enjoy them too. Might open his eyes to the horrors of restaurant industry.
Considering they sent someone out to clean up the handicap space to make it easy safe for customers this is a plus. I will admit I was surprised that it was cleaned up. The food was served hot and it tasted wonderful. It was well seasoned. The only thing on food we bypassed was the shredded lettuce because it looked a little wet. Other was there was no concern with the food prep there, and even that we were not concerned with. It was all very yummy maybe hubby and I will go there on a date night again. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice little burger joint. Now the prices are not to bad on a family of three we just spent over $30. This is a little less then we do at other places.
