I have to say I am not at all happy with Window Vista right now. I think Windows creators are really trying to miss things up in people computers, at least I was able to keep my computer from crashing today. I am not sure if I am the only one with this problem but it seems like one of the security updates causes the computer to go to a black screen, I had to restore my computer to a earlier date, thankfully I didn’t lose anything. Well you know how Vista is if you don’t download their updates it might not work right, now it takes my computer forever to start up.
This is the 2nd time I have had troubles with vista after updating my computer. The last one corrupted the files so badly in the desktop, I couldn’t even get it to restore to a earlier date and lost everything that was not backup. Last night I had it update it does it automatically but then my laptop did not want to start up correctly so I had to force it to shutdown because you can’t do nothing with a black screen.
Finally I got it up and running and now it takes forever for this thing to start up, no viruses or anything, and it only happens when I allow windows to update vista. I think I will go to W7 and see what that’s like. I will probably first do it on the laptop and then to the desktop depending if it works good and doesn’t have a lot of trouble. I wonder if I can get a free life insurance quote on the laptop before vista kills it.

Last week they changed our windows in our apartment building, they are still working on other apartments in the building. They are changing all the bedroom windows. I am surprised one of their updates did a lot of good, I know their water update didn’t go so well and I still am not happy about it. I am glad they are finding energy saving ways because heating a apartment building has to be hard and very expensive.
It used to be we would have anywhere between a 10 and 20 degree different between the living room and bedrooms. Yeah that’s a good change, futher a way from the window it was less of a difference. Our manager put in new windows they are a little smaller then the old windows but still rather large. They are single windows but hold in the heat very nicely so during the summer they should hold in the cold air nicely.
Hopefully they will do the patio window with their next update on the apartments because we could really use new ones of those, by that window it’s always cold, and we lose a good bite of hot air from inside the house. Grant it if they do replace the balcony windows then I will have to move the tv stand and that thing ways close to 100 pounds, but now I was able to move it on my own. Don’t ask me how, because that’s a lot of weight.

A couple days ago I got tired of my little portable radio at work. To be honest I been tired of it for a while, every time my cellphone would get a call I would suddenly hear that, even before my phone was telling me I was getting a call. My husband for a while was trying to sale me on getting a Ipod when we had money. I have tried a couple at the Apple, and didn’t like it. It was hard to use, this was about a year ago, so I decided I wanted nothing to do with a MP3 player, since I couldn’t get it to work correctly in the store.
I am pretty tech smart, so usually I can figure out how to use electronics, there are few I can’t figure out. Well my old radio started having trouble holding a charge on it’s battery and I didn’t want to keep replacing AAA batteries they aren’t exactly cheap. My husband a couple weeks ago go a Insignia and seemed happy with it. It had 4 gigs of memory and was red. I think his favorite color might be red.
Well we went back to Best Buy this week for me. My husband and I had looked at other models together when he was looking for his self, so I basically did all the work I needed to do. The Insignia brand seemed easy to me, so I might as well give it a try right.
Buying a MP3 player or an Ipod is similar to buying the right Franke sinks for your house. You have to make sure it matches with your personality, or your likes. If it doesn’t your probably not going to be very happy with it.
The Insignia that I got comes in 3 colors; red, black and blue. I got the blue one with 4 Gigs of memory. Well I took it home and downloaded it software into my laptop. My laptop decided No, I don’t wanna do this for you, so I am going to not start up when it tells you to do so. So laptop didn’t to start, fine. Took it to the bedroom desktop computer, with Vista. It downloaded very quickly and I didn’t even need to restart the computer for it to work.
Let me start by saying the instruction on how to use it is not clear. Make sure you first install all of the software then plug in your Insignia. There are a couple of ways you can transfer songs into your player, it not to hard. Just know that you need to move songs from your “my song list” to get it to work. I tried getting it to do so from the CD but it didn’t think that was a good idea.
My little MP3 player has FM radio on it. I listen to it for a while, it good. When I get a phone call or text message it does not tell me it coming before it gets to my phone. Honestly I don’t think the Video player is all that good it so tiny that well it just not worth watching video or shows on, but I didn’t buy it for that. I got it, so I could listen to songs I like, sermons that I didn’t get to listen to yet, and maybe a couple of audio books.
I really have enjoyed my new little player it is very light weight, easy to forget it in the pockets or where it is at. I will have to make sure, when I do laundry not to do the boneheaded thing of leave it in my pockets so it can be washed. It is easy to turn up the volume or turn down, and easy to navigate through it. I was able to find everything that I needed right away.
So far I have no dislikes, and only likes.

I am not sure if this is a law or what it is. My apartment building had to change their plumbing in the apartment building. Why am I putting this on my review page, because I felt it might work best because I am going to review the city I live in idea of Conservation. I am all for conservation, I have no problem with conserving water, I believe it is important during lower water levels so I get it. My idea is lets actually save it, not waste it.
Here my first question for my city, and apartment manager. How am I saving water when the shower head you placed in my bathroom causes my shower time to increase by 3 times. When I take a shower I try to do it quickly and when I shave my legs it takes me about 10 minutes longer. I took a shower after getting the new shower head in, my bathroom has one of those that removes from the wall and has a hose. I like this shower heads they are nice. Well the shower head they put in has basically such a tiny handle that it kept slipping out of my hands and I some how got a cut in my thumb. I still haven’t figured out if it was because of my fingernails or because of the stupid head. The water that comes out of the shower head isn’t very much, and when it came to getting the soap out of my hair, I think I got more water in my ear. It took me longer to wash my hear then the old one because the water didn’t get distributed with a wide enough circle. To get all the soap of my body I have to spray water and move the stupid head. My old shower head I was able to live it on the wall, to get all the soap out of my hair. For the most I could get all the soap off with it on the wall, my new shower head forget it. Okay I can handle this I will just take more sit down baths and that will be less of a problem.
My second question is. Does it really make sense to lower the water pressure, in the kitchen when we do not have low pressure dish washer. It used to be I ran the dishwasher once and all my dish got cleaned. Since they upgraded the water plumbing, I have ran one load 3 times before it finally got cleaned. Seriously, I do not think I am saving water here! I think by the end of the second running I had used more water then with the old pressure. The third running was clearly a waste of water, maybe I shouldn’t look at it as wasting water because I need clean dishes. Today I talk to one of the ladies in the apartment office about this problem. I asked her, What am I supposed to hand wash all my dish, before putting them in the dish washer it kind of defeats the purpose of the dishwasher. I do rinse my dish before placing them in to get off all the stuff that not good for a dish washer. Okay so know I am wasting water in 2 places.
On to the Toilet plumbing. They put new stuff in there to. Here’s my third question, am I really saving water if I have to flush my toilet more then 2 or 3 times to get poop down all the way down the drain or other womanly problems. okay Sorry flushing the toilet once should be good enough. This should take away all the waste, this is what plumbing is for and why we pay for sewage so we can take a crap and flush it way. It not nice to have it stay around, this reminds me of the stupid story I heard growing up as a kid about the bugs on the log. I have a cat, I used to not mind a whole lot if my hubby or I lift the toilet seat up. Now I do mind because I do not want Otis playing in something nasty. I know I try to make sure it all goes down but sometimes, I am on the run. So how am I saving water, i flushing the toilet at least 2 to 3 times doesn’t this waste more water.
Lets see so my showers are taking me longer, my dishwasher needs to be ran more then twice and my toilet needs to be flush more then once. How am I saving water, wasn’t I saving more water with the old system. I do not mind updating plumbing or water usage things, but make sure if it updated it a update for the best. This was not a update for the best. I do have to say I am disappointed with all the laws and conservation things that are being passed in Minnesota, and in my city because none of the Laws or taxes are helping people, it just money into their pockets. I do have to say this Gas taxes is insanely stupid and the democrats are more of a reason of all the taxes increases and stupidness. Since the Democrats took over our State Government we are being taxed more. I hope that they stop adding more taxes and stupid laws, it seems they just do things with out thinking about the outcome of what they are doing. They do not care about the common person the persons who are struggling to just make it daily. If my water bill increases because of their so called changed I might bring my bill to the city, and my past bills and tell them seriously I am not saving water. I know if I am not saving other citizens are wasting it to, so the system is broken. I wish I was a scientist because I would work on finding a solution for this.
