    I will say I am surprised at the level of dislike for this game I had. Normally I can play action games a lot longer then this one. Pretty much what the game is about a Ninja who is to save the princes who puts him in some type of progitory. She puts him there to keep him from dieing.
    The first level wasn’t to bad, and was fairly easy to conquer except for the boss level battle. I was surprised how hard the boss battle was. The first battle is of this little old guy who head looks like a big brain. He shoots fire and runs. Here let me just give it away. Don’t let him run into while he running either job over him or stay on the rocks. This will help you avoid being killed. After you get him about half way dead he will turn into a hug baby, with big fire blowing out of his mouth. when he turns into a big baby with fire blowing out of his mouth stand on the highest rock on the right and then run and hit him a way times, make sure you get back on your rock before he turns into a baby and starts blowing fire out of his mouth.
    The hero is trying to find the princess he was sent to protect, he didn’t do a very good job of protecting her to begin with. I will say the graphics where very good for a DS game and the controlls for the most were easy to use. I just don’t think they got the boss battles at a good level, they should be at least easy to cut down in the first part of the game, yes a bit of a challenge but not one that kills you over and over and seems to have no real way of beating it.

  • Dragon Quest 4 chapters of the choosen

    I will say I am surprised I have enjoyed this game as much as I have. The battle format is a turn based, but I think what I like about it is that I am able to travel around and explore with their characters. The battles are normally not to hard to conquere. I would say their battles if you think about what each emeny strong point or weakness are, you aught to be able to conquire it.
    I have died once because of my stratagy not being the best one for the game but after I figured out to attact one of the boss first and kill that one off because the other boss didn’t have a strong attack but had plenty of life.
    I hate the dilect in the game it’s like horrible english, or maybe pig english would be the best way to call it. I can’t stand it when people write like that. I know they are trying to be new and different then most games but I find games which write like this make it harder to understand what is expected from your character. So far I like the princess who strong headed she wants to go out explore the word. She has to sneak out of the castle to get her way and eventually she gets her way from her dad, then he loses his voice and she has to go and get the medican he needs which comes from elfs. All of her battles are relatively easy ones, and she got two friends who goes with her to protect her. I hate to say this but I think she stronger then they are unless they’re using magic. Not all character who are on their own have magic abalities and I really do prefer those abailities.
    Later in he game you get a character looking for arm for the castle, he’s interesting to say the least. Some of the armour he finds he probably getting paid better for then what Ferrari parts would be.
    What I like about the game is the graphics those are pretty good, for such a small system. Trees actually look like trees and rocks look like rocks they have done a pretty good job of making the people and monstor look real. The story line is harder to follow because of the way they have wrote it but once you get used to it it’s not to bad. Now my husband probably would have no trouble with this game because he is used to the series and I started at 4. I have yet to get to the part of the game where I have more character then space to play them eventually I will get there.

  • Infinite Undiscovery

    My first thought on this game was interesting, and it would have been nice to know which way was north, so I could figure out where things where quicker. The main character is a look a like to Signmud, his name is Capele.
    Capele’s rescued from Aya in jail she thought he was Sigmud the hero, but looks like no matter how much Capele don’t wanna be a hero he destined to be just that. He tries to stay out of fighting hey it might hurt me, doesn’t strike me as the type of person who would be the hero, but when push comes to shove he will be there.
    You start out with 2 characters him and Aya, the first mission is fairly simple, do a few battles with te guards and get the treasures look around before going into the elevator. After you get out of the elevator try getting all the treasure on your way up, don’t worry about fighting anyone if you can avoid it just run like heck. Capele and Aya will be able to run from them outside kill the gaurds and becareful when picking up fruit sometimes it attacks the happy bees to attack you character then they mark you with their sent and you get a bunch of bees. During this time don’t worry about running until you get the big monster then run and eventually you’ll get to meet your look alike.
    Sorry I am spoiling it for people. Capele has a flute but other then playing that, he don’t do much more then fighting. It seems in the beginning of the game capele only fights and plays the flute. Early on you get a new song for the flute, use the flute which shows hidden treasure, it will also show you hidden paths.
    This game is a fun little game pretty much what your group is trying to do is safe your planet from chains attached to the moon, thinking maybe they are trying to get the moon to crash into the earth. Sigmud going to break them chains, and when Capele joins up with sigmud he gets to learn how to break the chain. Capele seems like the good ole passavest, doesn’t want to fight. The map is always on the top right part of the screen, normally what I try to do is cover every single area of each section and get all the good stuff out. Use that time to level up and get some gold. The nice thing about this is some of your team members can create different type of weapons which ends up giving sometimes better equipement then you can get at the shops. One nice thing would be having something like Nikon binoculars this way he could see farther in the distance when he outside.
    I haven’t found tomany dislikes yet in this game. I like the way they set up the battle system it takes a little getting used to but it easy to change the sitting so he can play the flute and find things.

  • Tales of Vesperia

    I know some are wondering how am I going to college and still managing to get game time. I have found if all I do is study and I don’t take time out for fun or if I am stuck studying and not able to get any where this is when I pop a game in. My husband and I sometimes get some games to try and Tales of Vesperia, we got in the mail the other day. I created a little bit of free time to be able to play.
    Lets see there are 2 main characters Yuri and Repede. Yuri is a xknight and Repede is his Dog who is able to carry weapons around. In the beginning of the game they acquire a new member to the party. I think she is a princess or something but she is a healer, later you aquire a little boy and a mage. Estelle who I believe is very important to the party and so far I have kept her in every battle she is a healer. This is a important in many of the battles, althrough the beginning part of the battles are very easy.
    The battle scene is pretty much simple to get into a battle you have to touch your enemy and you’ll be able to tell them. It is action based, so your controlling your main character. Yuri is a known trouble maker but his hearts in the right place. The battle is action so you just have to give Yuri the commands and the other party members will pretty much do their own thing. Their is one different for the battle, to attack you need to hit B, to gaurd or shield you have to hit X and A is for special attacks. Yuri starts out with one special attact but soon gets a few more. I haven’t figure out how to get the regular attacks to work. Gotta do something with the left stick and b. Now it’s a little hard because you have press it down.
    They are looking for something called the Blaistia, and this will bring them to many different challenges. Most of the challenges are not to hard to conquire. Yuri town blastia was stole from them and soon they will be flooded but somehow they managed to turn off the water to the fountian. Now they are just looking for the blastia to make it work right. So far I have 5 people in my part. Only 4 of them can fight with Yuri, so what I been doing is routating out my partners.
    Maybe hubby and I will have to save some money and get a second controller so we can play it both together that might change the type of game it is a little bit. I like this game because it’s action. I get to do a little exploring grant it not as good as my favorite game. But there is some exploring, so use the time to explore and play. Get into a few battle, don’t worry to much about buying equipement and weapons because I am finding that a lot of times you can find treasures with what you buy, now snythothis is a good thing. You won’t be able to do that until the 3rd town you enter.
    I wonder if we can play with two wireless controllers like the PS3 lets us, or if we have to do something like HDMI cable.

  • Just great

    Last week I wasn’t have a good week. I have a PSP slim which is great, or maybe I should say was great. The same people made the PS3, there products are great. Never had a problem until recently. My husband and I got me a new PSP this summer, and it started having troubles. I didn’t think much of it because normally it was just a minor thing. Well I went to use the bathroom and put it on top of my towel, next thing I knew the stupid thing was falling down. Great, It landed on my foot, and went to the flower. Well now it don’t work at all. I called the PSP people after taking it into where we purchased the thing, and was told they would need to deal with it. Well, I spoke to the gentle man from the PSP place, honest I was surprised they where opened, because it was last monday on Labor day. Well maybe it wasn’t a US person who answered, now since globalization makes things nice. hmmm it just got darker out, must be a storm. I spoke with him for a few minutes explained to him the problems I had before it dropped, and then told him now it’s not working at all. He asked a few questions and then asked if it was drop, I answered yes, but before it was dropped it was having issues. Well just great, my warranty is now no good, that just cute, I only had the thing for 2 months. Well the best thing he could give me was, we can take that one and sale you a new one for 89$ plus what ever the taxes, that would be great if I was made out of money. I will probably go for that route, since trading this in to the other place will give me 50 trade in credit and still have a 150 to go, depending on how many trade in credits hubby and I have saved. Okay, not happy, so I told him, we just had a death in the family, what is my cut of time, how long do I have to get this back to you. He gave me a work order number and told me do it at my earliest convence, I wonder if it takes me 6 months if they will still honor it. I am not seeing any way to do it any sooner then that since I got laid of but hey if I get a new job then it could be sooner then later, after I get my laptop. What I would have found very helpful since I only had it for 2 months for them to simply honor the warranty, and say next time it happens we won’t cover it.

  • Guitar Hero 3

    Last night I came home after class, and my husband was playing Guitar Hero 3. We have had it probably since it came out or a little before because it was one of his review games. Let me say since I play regular guitar this game is a little frustrating for me because it not exactly like a guitar. It a little different. The similarities are pretty much you use both hands to play it, and it in the shape of a guitar. There are no strings, and to strum there is a little thing in the middle of the guitar body, on the head you have your different colors. This is hard because your not making cords or anything, your just following what on the tv to do.
    Now don’t get me wrong I do enjoy the game and it’s fun. I think I might play a little bit in a little while, if I have time. I know I gotta start setting up my homework, I don’t do homework on Friday night and neither on Saturday. So today I should do a little bit. I will probably just get it ready for next week reading. I have a learning team assignment and I think I might do that on Sunday and just turn it in then. I know they want it by Tuesday. I might not have Sunday to do homework if we go to his parents and I am thinking we will. We need to go at least this week since we didn’t go last week.
    Guitar hero had a few add on that my husband had. Last night he was dressing up his band which I thought was neat, there were I want to say about 5 categories and in those categories there was a couple outfits. I believe each one has to be opened by achieving things in the games. I am not sure, I haven’t had much time to play lately, although I really do want to play. I have been a little busy lately. We will need to get some recharge able batteries for this or else we might need to play replace battery and with in the next year, we’ll spend almost as much as the guitar hero game was on batteries. We have many games to play and some of them I love and some of them I hate. I love Guitar hero when playing it. I think it funny sometimes that they have different levels, and if you make so many errors in a song then they will make you start it over or simply just stop the song. There is a point system and after you hit so many notes right you get to do cool little things with the guitar.
    To charge most of the remotes we have for the PS3 we have cables similar to those of HDMI but guitar hero isn’t like most of the remotes it’s not rechargeable. This is one thing I do not like is, we have to keep replacing the batteries.

    Interesting would sum it up pretty good. I found it to be a different type of action platform game. There were some puzzles that needed to be solved right away, so it causes you to have to think through what your strategy will need to be during your mission.
    I have played about 3 hours, and have started the first mission over more times then I can count. I kept having issues with my PSP, so I kept getting to redo everything. The auto save feature, is a good saving thing, don’t even bother saving the game on your own it’s not worth it. The most frustrating thing about this game is that when you saved the game, it would save at the beginning of the game even after saving at checks points. This is a little bit frustrating because if you die at the end of the mission then you have to start pretty much over or if your PSP gets turned off improperly for keeping your place, which I am known to do. I would say the lack of a save feature is something I do not care for in this game. When I stop a game in the middle of a mission I like to pick up where I lift off not at the very beginning of it.
    Over all the game was fun, there are many challenges of sneaking pass the guards which I wonder sometimes if it’s even possible. In the museum I sneaked passed all the guards just to fall off the roof or what ever it was. One of the challenges I had to do over and over again but I thought that was funny was the lazers which where moving and you had to hit either the X, O, square, or Triangle button to get anywhere. This challenge was fun and they used it with some special things like sneaking up on guards and attacking with out getting caught by the other guards which work great. Avoid the lights in this game or else you will get in trouble and die.
    I am not sure how living up works in this game, I have not figured that one out. Most everything in the game can be smashed for robot parts, but i haven’t found a store yet in the game.
    The graphics in this game was not impressive maybe they should have tried using a better
    SD card or something. In my opinion I didn’t see any creative uses of colors in this game the colors to me just seemed to run into each other. Even through the game is fun playing. My favorite part of the game is trying to follow their rythums correctly or their other similar challenges.

  • Trade in credits are great

    My husband and I game a lot. We get trade in on games we don’t enjoy very much, he reviews games for some site and I help him. We try to share the trade in credits, fairly but sometimes that’s hard because we both have different styles of games we enjoy. Last year my husband had gotten the new PSP Slim, and gave me his old PSP. This week I started having problems, I have to admit the poor thing gets a work out. I play a lot on all of our gaming system, but you know lately I been playing just with my hand held.
    My husband was telling me last night that I haven’t played some of the games for a while, I wanted. To be honest I have a hard time picking between the XBox360 or the playstation 3 I love them both just as much and they both have good games. Last night we had to go to Gamestop, I had gotten our property tax. I asked my husband because we where only 70 bucks from what we needed if it be okay, if I use some to get a new PSP. He said yes, I could have gotten a refurbish one but I have found refurbish and me don’t agree. They always break on me, so I felt a new PSP Slim was what i needed. The PSP Slim seems to weigh less then the old PSP and is thinner. I like it because all of the controls are the same. The hardest thing was to figure out how to get the battery into the PSP. The PSP Slim does not come with a memory card, so make sure you keep your old card or you will need to get a new memory card. I had a 1 gig card which I think is plenty of memory because I do to use it as a music player.
    I do not believe they still make movies for the PSP because I have not seen any new ones in quiet a while. I like that the PSP and the PS3 can communicate with each other. I really like the new PSP but there’s not a whole lot of different between the old and new, but it’s great.
    You will need a screen cover for your new PSP because the screen will scratch very easily. I tried finding on at game stop and ended up with some big ol’ case thing that a screen protector but I think it makes the game harder to use and play because it covers up the power button and the recharging connection.

  • Don’t walk on the sidewalk!

    Stop don’t walk on the sidewalk maybe the middle of the road would be safer. Today when I got home I just wanted to play a game I could kind of zone out with, and see what I could do with it. Normally I do not like racing games, not my cup of tea. I was surprise when I got done playing how long I played, Grand Turismo 5 Prologue. I think I enjoyed it.
    Lets see what works in this game even if you lose the races totally like last place, you still get paid for it, so it not like you play and it looks like you’ve accomplished nothing. I got first place on a few of the races I did. I have 2 cars, one is a Volvo, don’t think it a good car but it one of the brands of cars I like because for the most they are hardy. It does not let you do high class races until you have completed the lower class races I think this is a good but at the same time a bad thing.
    What did not work for me was the driving style. I would sometimes rather not see the care but look out the window, the only way to do that, that I figure out was holding the top left button but that makes it hard to drive correctly. If this was a live race I think they would have thought the driver needed drug rehab because the car was all over the road. There should be signs on the road like don’t walk on the sidewalk, stand in the road. It would probably be funny if they made it to where you could see people running out of the way or something nothing bloody or gory just funny.
    What I did not like about the game they had a lot of option for cars but not to many of cars which where low cost. I would have loved to see a couple of Purple car options and not just the normal colors of Whites, grays, blues, blacks and greens, other colors would have been neat. I have 2 cars right now, one is Blue and the other one is black. I think this might be a fun game to just kill a little time. steering the car was easy in this game a lot easier then other racing games I have tried.

  • Buzzing around beeville

    Buzzing around Beeville, see how many bees I could run over and how many things I could break. Today I had some time to play a little more of Bee the game on PS3. I hate to say this but after watching the movie it made the game not so enjoyable for some reason but it was still fun. Maybe today I am in some funk or something because not much is making me laugh. The first time I played, Bee it was funny, should have looked for a laughlin hotels.
    You get to try several different jobs, in this game. My favorite job taxi cab driving, I try to run over as many other bees as I can. I think I might have caused a traffic jam in the game or something because I have a area of street I can’t seem to get through because a bunch of other bees are struck there in their car. It kind of reminds me of Rush hour but funnier. The first time i played it I laughed so hard, I cried. I’m going to get your badge number some of the bees will tell you or stay off the sidewalk. I think it funny watching them jump out of the way. When you hit things sometimes they break and give you some honey comb which is money.
    My next favorite job is the collecting nectar, and making the flowers come alive. This is challenging even in the first level. The funniest part was when he got stuck on the Tennis ball, that was funny.. A few times I made sure I didn’t do it right just to watch him be hit. I am not sure why but this video games brings a side of me out that is funny as long as no one watching.
    There is no language that parents need to worry about and I believe almost all ages can play this game, might be a little more challenging then some youngsters can deal with it.
